> 3 dayThis is a nice looking hard drive and I love that the cable attaches directly to it. The only problem with that is if you plan to put it into a a case made for these hard drives (like the amazon basic one I bought for it, it will not fit with the cable attached so you will need to remove the cable before storing it in the case. Transfer speed seems normal. Their widget that will schedule backups or transfers is VERY PRIMITIVE and not user friendly. This function needs a lot of work! This is why it got 4 stars out of 5. If it were up to my dad (which is whom I bought it for), he would have NEVER figured out the backup feature of this drive using its own software.

Greater than one weekBought this to use with MP3s in the car audio system (Ford Sync). Came preformatted with FAT32, which is what the system needed to see. Worked like a champ. Have about 150 Gig of MP3s and have had no problem playing them. Pros - LED (when drive is connected) will indicate whether connected to USB 2 or 3 by color. Non-skid strips on bottom and bumper around drive. Cons - while it is called a rugged armor drive, the LED shines thru the plastic shell so it cant be that rugged. Shell has a little flex to it also. Seems to be a good drive so far.

> 3 dayThis external hard drive has worked great! A great price and exactly what I needed. I pulled all my photos, music, and movies off of my laptop to save memory and they easily fit on to this 1 terabit external hard drive with plenty of memory to spare. The USB cord that comes with it does not clip in as well as shown in the photo. The tiny black plastic clips come right off. But thats relatively inconsequential overall. It is well constructed with a sturdy hard plastic outer frame. Update: I liked this so much, I purchased a second one for my wife. The hard drive is compatible with both Windows and Apple Operating Systems so no worries there either. Hope this review was helpful! Let me know if you have any questions.

> 3 dayI looked for a drive to replace my old Transcend (640GB StoreJet M3) after the USB connector failed. A work colleague purchased the SP A60 drive and after looking it over I decided it would be a better replacement for the Transcend based on the device using an actual USB port rather than the flat USB3 connector. In fact that alone was the reason why I would not choose the Transcend again. Other than that, the SP 1TB A60 drive is very nice, the top of the cover can be a little slippery but on the desk it sits firm with the anti-slip pads underneath. I do a lot of international travelling and the drives take a bit of a beating as I go around the world. Ill give it 5 stars in 3 years time :)

> 3 dayHi Everyone! I have bought Silicon Power 1TB Rugged Armor A60 Shockproof / Water-Resistant 2.5-Inch USB 3.0 Military Grade Portable External Hard Drive,Black (SP010TBPHDA60S3K) in December 2014. It was very slow from the beginning and I had a lot of trouble getting it to work on my small laptop anyway I managed to copy ALL photos and docs I had and I barely used it so I dont know if I used it 10 times in total and then in July-August 2015 it just started to give me a headache because I couldnt get into any folder and it was asking me to format the disc. I gave it to a technician at work and he run a scan that S.W.A.T. teams in Costa Rica are using + he used many other programs and NOTHING!!!! So I LOST ALL MY PHOTOS!!!!! Its shame because I loved the design and the fact that are military drop tested etc but Im very disappointed for loosing EVERYTHING!!!!! So I wish I could talk to the manufacturer or someone in charge as this HDD wasnt fell nor was hit by anything. IT was sitting and storing the pictures and videos from me travelling around. The HDD also has bad sectors so I cant even use it right now,.... I wish someone could at least help me to recover my photos n videos,.....

Greater than one weekNo problem with the hard drive!! It comes with a program that can be installed only on a windows pc, the format is in Fat32 and you can use ir with a mac without any problems, very useful to store whatever you want. Talking about the hardshell, it seems to be durable and good quality, ive never tried to throw it, but i hope my disk will survive. Its compatible with time capsule for mac users. Greets!

> 3 dayI was looking for a rugged Portable hard drive and SP A60 exceed my expectation, i am a frequent traveler, in the bus and on the plane i take my hard drive with me, the challenge is due to frequent movement especially in public transport, i usually end up with damage drives, most time times i have to hold my hard drive in the bus to serve as a shock absorber to prevent the drive from been damage. I have traveled a couple of times with this A60 trough rugged roads and i always placed it in my luggage, what ever that is used as a shock proof is really working. Another amazing thing is the price, If not for the reviews and some you tube videos i have seen, i can never believe that a Portable hard drive with all these specification could sell so cheap. No doubt this is the best money can buy. Not to forget, if you are an attention seeker, SP A60 design is unique, its one in town

> 3 dayI tried to download several video games using this external hard drive but gives me an error. It says it cannot differentiate between upper and lower case, I have no idea what this means. I am now using it to back up my computer and that is working excellent like it should. It also holds pictures. The only thing that I have had trouble with is trying to download video games which is the reason I purchased this. Great product if you are using it for a back up hard drive.

> 3 dayDoes support USB 3 as claimed, even as 2.0 is enough, as the HDD itself is not a speed beast :) Practical for travel, not expensive, very quiet. The included cable & the plastic brackets fall off easily, but that is not a problem anyway, as those can be put back in seconds. Spillproof indeed, but not waterproof. The green rubber tends to accumulate dirt, clean with non-alcohol solution, or youll destroy it. Very happy with it. Comes formatted as FAT32, with a small registration app on it (Windows-only), also comes with an html version of it. There is a firmwate update on SP site, applied it, so far, havent had any trouble.

> 3 dayAs expected from other reviews, the rubber clips supposedly holding the usb cable popped off as soon as I detached the cable - I put a rubber band around the drive to hold the cable, and that works much better than the clips. Otherwise, it worked as advertised. I transferred some business files so Id have another copy of them, and that worked. I just got the drive today, havent dropped it, havent had water soak it, just transferred some sensitive files, so I cant give you any long term usage results. Will come back & comment should anything exceptional or disastrous happen, otherwise its a good functioning hard drive. .
