Greater than one weekThis product was not easy to install and didn’t work. I put it in my door going from My dining room to my backyard and the lock didn’t secure the door from being closed more than the lock on the sliding door that it came with. Not sure what I did wrong or if it’s not a good product.

The lock takes up much less space and looks so much better than our previous extra safety lock method on our sliding patio door (a tension bar which was not only a pain to install and uninstall but was causing wear and tear on the wood frame). The lock works very well. I do wonder about the longevity of the adhesive pad working, especially when summer sun shines on the door.

> 3 daywe moved to a home that has a pool and three ets of sliding glass doors. of course as just one adult in the house while my husband works I wanted to make sure my babies were safe and unable to open the sliders for any reason. we of course added an alarm to tell us when one is opened however this is an extra added layer of protection that im happy to have. the installation is super easy all you do is peel off the sticker and stick it onto the glass. you then pop it open and just like that its good to go and blocks the door from being opened. very simple but functional design.
