> 24 hourAs title states, with all four wires present in the junction box the install is extremely easy. If any of the four are missing (specifically white might sometimes be elsewhere), then the light switch wont function as intended. If you do have all four wires, this switch is extremely easy to use and calibrate. I use mine with Google Home and it functions perfectly! The Meross app also allows you to set up schedules outside of the ones Google Home has.

> 24 hourThis is the second meross product Ive bought (first was the garage door opener which also works well). It was easy to install. If you can install a standard light switch then this is not too much different. The meross app found the switch with no problem and completed the setup. The app works inside the home and when Im away. I like the look of the product. Its simple compared with some of the smart switches out there. It comes with a single gang face plate. If you were installing it in a multi-gang box, youd need to order your own face plate. Have a look at some of the customer images for examples.

> 24 hourUpdate: I discovered a fix. To dim to more acceptable levels, use the app. Select the switch, then pull down the menu, upper right, 3 bars. Select compatibility test, press start testing, a graphic bar will appear, and brightness is set at 40%. Lower the brightness to 1%. Then exit. This should be your new default when you next lower the brightness level, either manually or when using Alexa. Not perfect, but much better than the default level of 40%. I am a fan of Meross switches, I have 2 that we have been testing and they have been very reliable. I cant say the same for the dimmers. The main issue is the range of dimming. We began having several installed but stopped after the problem became obvious with the single pole dimmer. It was installed in the master bedroom and has been a major disappointment. The range of the dimmer is pretty much useless, as it will not go below about 50% brightness. There is no firmware fix, or one planned. So we will reluctantly look for alternatives.

> 24 hourWhile there are levels of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% ,they arent very different. Id really like it to dim my lights a lot dimmer. The switch only does these four levels plus off. The app says it will dim by 1% increments but that doesnt really work.

> 24 hourI bought these smart switches to control lights in my home. Most of the smart switches went to outdoor lights as it was the best option for me to have the best control of lights I needed to operated remotely. The install is super easy and they connect to my wifi with no issues. Every one that I have installed needed a firmware update immediately after installing but they were operational in minutes. Pairing with Alexa app was also easy and I was turing on and off my lights using my echo dot in minutes after install. They are a little bulky compared to normal switches so make sure you push the wires and wire nuts to the far back of the box you are installing them in or you wont fit them in on the first shot evenly. They do need to be grounded and I had to ground them to a metal electrical box in one installation as I have some older wiring in my home along with some newer but the switches work great and wifi signal is not an issue in plastic or metal boxes. I also love that when the lights are off you see a little red light in the body of the switch. You can instantly tell if the lights are on or off and if it is dark in the room you can easily find the switches. They also make a satisfying click when depressed and I havent had a single issue with any of the switches that I’ve got.

> 24 hourThis product was something I waited for for a while. It was something most other companies has not had either. As usual Meross did not disappoint. You can dim from either location but is also compatible with all the major assistants out there. I use mine winth Google Home. The Meross ecosystem has a great line of products. Not only is setup in the Meross app super simple, once one product is added to Google Home the rest just automatically show up. Then you just add it to a room. You can not ask for better products. I have single pole and 3 way and single pole dimmer and now 3 way dimmer. I also have their garage door unit. I have had many of these for over a year so I can also say that so far they seem very reliable. I have had power outages and bad storms and they all have survived. You cant ask for a better product.

> 24 hourUpdate: Downgraded to two stars. I would have gone to one star, but they do still work, eventually. These dimmers dont often respond the first time I ask Alexa to turn them on or off, or to dim them. I often have to ask three or four times. Alexa sometimes complains that they are not responding but most often she just accepts the command then acts like it completed successfully when it didnt. The ones I got look different than the current pictures, so maybe Meross updated them and fixed the problem, but I am replacing them with Kasa anyway. I have many other Kasa dimmers and smart switches and they all work great, so these Meross are going in the trash. :-( ----- I have these integrated with Alexa. I like to have a night light in the main part of the house during the middle of the night. I programmed a routine in Alexa called Good Night that turns the LED lights in the living room down to 5%, turns off the lights in my bedroom, tells me the overnight weather, and starts my sleep sound. Update: I got a new router and it refused to allow me to use certain characters in the password that the old router didnt have a problem with. That meant that I had to change my wifi password and reprogram EVERYTHING in the house. These switches were a real PITA to change the wifi pasword on. I eventually did it, but Im not exactly sure what steps I took to get it done. When youre programming them for the first time, its pretty straightforward. If you have to change the programming for any reason, it is quite a chore. Docking a star for that.

> 24 hourInstallation was easy. Mine didnt come with wire nuts so make sure you have 8 or so. The traveller wires are never connected to other wiring, so youll at least 4 for those and this doesnt come with screw connections or quick inserts. The switch is all plastic, I didnt see any metal from the outside, but this isnt an issue for me. The connections were labeled on the back of the switch and the stranded wire folds easily back into the switchbox. The switch design is intuitive, and the little LED indicators to show you the light levels are a nice touch. The paddles still turn the light on and off and the little buttons are just for dimming. I installed this with another smart switch in about an hour, with a one year olds help. Everything was looking good at this point. Adding the switch in the Meross app was troublesome. I couldnt get my iPhone to scan the homekit code, and when I typed in the code, it brought up a hub I didnt recognize. When I selected the hub, it said it couldnt add the device. I didnt check to see what network I was on, maybe that was it. I swapped out the switch, but maybe Ill try it somewhere else where I can mess with it a little more comfortably.

> 24 hourThe Meross Smart Dimmer Light Switch does exactly what you think it it: a smart dimmer light switch and nothing more. It is easy to setup (requires neutral wire), configure in the app, and to use. There is trimming on it for your lights that you are using as well. We used this in our bathroom with an LED bulb and an ultra thin LED recessed can light. Previously the HS200 from TPLINK caused flickering, but we did not see any on this switch which did impress us. Smart connectivity has worked perfectly every time with google home and IFTTT. Now onto the question, would I put these throughout our entire house? Probably not because in general, I dont think it looks nice in comparison to TPLINK or Lutron Caseta dimmers. It looks relatively cheap in my opinion especially with the LEDs on the front panel bleeding into the other areas. It also bugs me that the power button is on the bottom instead of the top. As an electrical engineer, I also am hesitant to install something that is not UL certified. It does have ETL certification, but in America, it is UL certification. In conclusion, its a good product that works reliably. It is a good value and if you are on a budget, these will work for you. Note: We were given one free as a review model.

> 24 hourI have ten switches from Meross and three of them are dimmers. These are very easy to install, like any switch, provided you have the neutral wire and 2.4 ghz WiFi network. Amazon echo devices work very with Meross products as does the Alexa app. I use the Meross app more often than Alexa app unless I’m setting up routines. Meross continues to advance in function and design. The neutral wire is the wire that carries the circuit load back to the breaker and will only be available if your intended circuit was wired to the switch first. Older houses are more often wired top down, where the electricity goes to the fixture first. You can have neutral wires installed as I did.
