It doesnt roll smoothy - I stops and smears the paint. I guess It needs to broken it like new shoes.

This brayer is so easy to use, and works perfectly. It is easy to clean up after, and is just what I was looking for.

as expected

I use it for spreading wood glue. Works much better than other spreaders Ive used. Roles really nicely and rubber is not as plastic-y so glue clings to it and spreads a little better.

Worked like a champ.

I love the brayer, but I have difficulty getting the actually roller off to clean it. Ive been forced to just clean it attached (which makes a challenging task, more challenging).

I am using this brayer to spread acrylic paint on a gelli plate. It is working quite well doing that. I chose the soft rubber brayer rather than the hard rubber because another reviewer suggested that. Therefore I am not familiar with the hard rubber, but the soft one is not as soft as I had thought it was going to be. Like I am pretty sure this brayer is going to hold up just fine over time. The brayer spreads the acrylic paint out on the gelli plate very nicely, smoothing the paint out into an even layer. Then the idea is to use various tools (most home made) to make a design in the paint. The last step is to place a piece of paper to cover the gelli plate and I just ran my hands over the back of the paper. Then lift the paper off and lay it out paint side up to dry. Voila! If you need instruction on how to make a gelli plate, I just got my instructions from YouTube (it used lots of gelatin, rubbing alcohol, water and glycerin).
