Greater than one weekI do love this winder, as better than any other winder Ive ever used. This is replacing the Lacis winder that my husband dropped on the floor, cracking the plastic in more than one place.

> 3 dayI could not make the handle turn smoothly. It jerked and was hard to turn. The yarn wound around the gears I was very disappointed as I have friends with this and they like theirs. I would never trust it with my fine yarns, lace weights and silks. It was difficult to use and did not wind a good center pull ball. Very disappointing

> 3 dayI returned. The bracket on the small Stanwood winder kept popping off my table, so I returned it and ordered this one. Trust me, theres no comparison between the two. If you can afford it, opt for this one. You wont regret it. The table clamp is large and will fit and stay on any table. The gears are larger and the handle fits the hand better. Its very smooth winding too. It makes excellent center pull cakes that sit nicely right next to you while you knit/crochet.
