> 24 hourIve used my 1st gen model for years while installing crown, base and cabinets. Upgraded to the newer model as it is much more accurate due to the laser etching. Mine took a a beating over the last 6yrs and was getting hard to read

> 24 hourThis tool is one of those devices that comes along and forever changes and simplifies a task. In this case, its calculating the exact degree of a miter joint, be it a perfect 45 degree miter for a corner thats exactly square (rare) or an out of square head-scratcher. This baby takes you to the correct angle in quick time, and its accurate too. It allows me to work instead of calculate, and it reduces mistakes and wasted mouldings. I love it, and I dont give tools a good review unless they deserve it.

> 24 hourJust wanted to say that the picture shown with the red face is NOT the one that I received. The one I got has a black face and it says it is laser engraved for accuracy. The numbers all align perfectly.

> 24 hourThis protractor accurately measures angles and, as opposed to digital models, uses no batteries and is always ready when the need for angle computation occurs in the wood shop. I have enjoyed using the protractor many times and look forward to using it for many more years to come.

> 24 hourThis is a great tool to have in your shop, but nearly everyone has said that. I wanted to address the accuracy, having read many of the less-than-stellar (and older) reviews on the topic. The comments mostly singled out the degree wheel decal being mislocated, leading to offset errors varying from a half-degree to more than a couple. I decided to buy anyway, based on the updates that said returning a bad one usually resulted in getting a better/good one.

> 24 hourThis protractor has been a very good tool for reading and setting up angles. The readout is a little off, so instead of reading the degrees, then setting the same angle on my miter saw, I use the protractor to physically set the angle of the saw blade. The Starrett protractor is well built and is easy to use (other than the problem noted above).

> 24 hourGood tool. It is a but hard to read with the small print. It is okay for general measurements
