This is super nice shave soap!!! The scent takes a bit getting used to but after awhile I’ve grown to love it. It gives exceptional shaves. This soap holds it’s own against all the top luxury shave soaps on the market. I would definitely buy again for myself or as a gift.

Beautiful iconic scent. Hard puck lasts a long time. A little pricey, so shop around, however it is a MUST have in every wet shavers den!

Lets address the most common complaint with Tabac first, the scent. I love this scent. It smells like an old fashioned barbershop to me with a delightful powdery kick. Admittedly I dont dislike many soaps, but out of all the soaps o do have, which is at least 20, tabac is in the top 5 easy abs probably the topoint 3. With that being said, if you find that you dont like new soaps at times, especially more old fashioned type soaps, Id stay away from this until you can smell it before buying. I keep my bowl of Tabac on my counter at all times because I love to just pick it up and smell it randomly and it looks great sitting there. (Picture provided) As far as the quality of the lather. Its top notch shave soap. We have very hard water here in the Great Basin Desert and this soap lathers up to a superb yogurt like consistency. Im not greedy when I apply it to my face either, I love to apply a thick coat. I use a bowl to lather because it produces so much and it is very fast in getting where it needs to be. Great protection and slickness. Post shave feel is amazing as well. I use the Tabac balm and aftershave as well and my face feels AMAZING all day. The only way you go wrong with Tabac is if you fall in the minority with the scent. It might not be for you, but it sure is one of my favorites.

Ive been a wet shaver for many years and have tried more shaving brush creams and soaps than I can count. There are a few that come close to this one but none surpass it in quality of lather or shaving results.

Tabac is the shaving soap by which I will rate all others. It took me a while to get used to the scent, but it grew on me. Smells like an old barber shop. Its not displeasing at all, just different. Tabacs lather is rich and creamy when used with a quality badger brush. It literally explodes if you use a few drops of liquid glycerin with it.
