> 3 dayI bought this because it has a grounded plug, unlike other smart plugs. However, Im pretty sure it uses traditional front-edge dimming, rather than trailing edge dimming, leading LED bulbs to flicker when the dimmer is lower. I purchased the Leviton DZPD3-2BW as an alternative, and it does a much better job dimming the LEDs.

> 3 dayThis is an on/off appliance switch, not a dimmer. It integrated with my Z-wave Leviton network easily, and it works well. It is tall, so youll want to use the top outlet of the receptacle. Having the unswitched outlet is convenient.

> 3 dayI was not able to get this to connect to Smarttings hub. The hub found it quickly, but then gave a security error and the plug was not useable.

Greater than one weekIll start off by saying, the original listing I bought this from says its currently unavailable, but it is the same company selling. Again, dont listen to negative reviews that say it doesnt work or its difficult to set up. Even with limited tech knowledge, one should be able to follow the extremely basic and straightforward instructions that are included. I can also confirm this does indeed work with the Ring Alarm base station/hub via Z-Wave/Z-Wave Plus. The Ring base station/hub also contains a ZigBee radio, however, it is currently not enabled by Ring. Once set up, Alexa/Echo devices should be able to discover and control immediately.

> 3 dayOrdered two of these. Both DOA and look like they are returned items. One missing inside packaging the other torn inside box. I should have read the reviews.

12-06-2025This plug-in Z-wave smart switch easily integrated into my Samsung SmartThings environment and let me convert my standard on/off lamp into a “smart” dim-able lamp.

> 3 dayThis dimmer paired easily to my HomeSeer system and works very well. I love that it has low and high dimming thresholds so that I can cut out the dead range. The status light is fairly bright, which is something to consider if it will be in something like a bedroom, but luckily that can be turned off. What I dont like is that if I use the button to turn the lights on and off, it doesnt immediately notify the hub of the change. Not a huge deal for me though, because its being controlled automatically.

> 3 dayI really like this smart dimmer. I wanted to give it 4 stars, but I gave it five because, overall, it performs well. The dimmer works with SmartThings, but not Alexa. It gives a huge range of brightness, so thats a plus. The set-up instructions were a bit confusing, but it worked in the end. Would I buy another, no. I purchased this dimmer because it can handle 120 watts of CED lights. Other dimmers max out at 100. I would definitely go with another brand that works with Alexa.
