Works with Smart Things fine. Accurate light control for my two 100w led bulbs.

I bought this for Z-wave lamp control. After including it with my Hubitat hub I was able to see it in the network and it would accurately report the state of the switch and allow customization of the button on the switch. However, It would not allow actual control on and off of the switch. So overall, it is a good device, but just isnt compatible with Hubitat at this time. So I am returning mine and getting a more expensive slightly larger GE device which I know is fully compatible with Hubitat.

Save your money and find a better solution than this easy plug in. Bought 3 of these units. All are about the same distance from VERA, but Z-Wave should nullify distance anyway. Two work 95% of the time when they maintain their VERA connection. The third unit loses its VERA connectivity like clockwork 4-6 x every day. So it is a crap shoot whether or not my programmed scenes will run. I am going to replace it with a direct wired duplex receptacle.

Im using this Z-Wave outlet switch in a Smartthings system. Everything works perfectly and it was easy to install. Ive got this on a garage outlet I use to charge an ebike battery. Since the battery charger is cheap, I dont trust it not to overcharge to battery once the charging is complete so I use the Smartthings panel to tell the outlet to turn off x number of hours after I start the charge. I prefer Z-Wave devices like this as opposed to Wi-Fi. For me they are much more reliable and easier to install into my system. I also dont like having to have separate apps for each brand device. With Z-Wave, my Smartthings app controls everything and I can easily access my devices from Google Home as well.

Ill start off by saying, the original listing I bought this from says its currently unavailable, but it is the same company selling. Again, dont listen to negative reviews that say it doesnt work or its difficult to set up. Even with limited tech knowledge, one should be able to follow the extremely basic and straightforward instructions that are included. I can also confirm this does indeed work with the Ring Alarm base station/hub via Z-Wave/Z-Wave Plus. The Ring base station/hub also contains a ZigBee radio, however, it is currently not enabled by Ring. Once set up, Alexa/Echo devices should be able to discover and control immediately.

This was easy to program with my ADT Pluse system.

I purchased two of these in August 2021 to use with two different lamps, and as of January 2023, they are both failing. There’s something wrong with the dimming mechanism. Whenever I use Alexa to turn them off, they do turn off, but Alexa says something went wrong. Then when I turn them back on, I get the same error tone from Alexa, and the dimmers have been set to 1%. I purchased two of the same switches, but without dimmers, at the same time, and they are still working. I have a ton of smart switches that I’ve had for years longer than these two switches, and all of them are still working as well as the day I bought them. These switches are way too expensive to be failing after a year and a half.

Dont pay attention to what the description says - I went through TWO of these and they do NOT install on Vivint systems. When I contacted tech support after the second one failed to connect, I was given no tech support at all, just a link on how to contact Amazon for a return. Im ordering another brand with user reviews verifying that Vivint is supported. This one is not.
