Z-Wave Smart On/Off Light and Appliance Plug, Dual Outlet Plug-in, 1 Alway-On+ 1 Smart Switch, Zwave Hub Required, Works with SmartThings, Wink

I chose this model initially for being z-wave plus to act as repeater/ range extender to extend the range on another z-wave device that did not have enough range to reach my home assistant box. I plugged this unit in only a few feet from the other device but that device did not get better range. While this device has great range itself, it has connection reliability issue where you occasionally have to unplug it and plug it in again to regain the z-wave connection.

Works great and easy to pair to my wink hub. Edit: This thing is so great I had to come back with an update. Very easy to use with both systems. Works exactly as described. Will buy more again. Love it.Works great on my SmartThings hub as well!

While less expensive than other modules it comes at a cost of speed. I have nearly 50 z-wave switches at the house and most all are Jasco, GE or Honeywell. I decided to try an off-brand due to the positive reviews and while it worked there was just too much of a delay for my liking. So I returned them and purchased Honeywell modules and what a difference for a few dollars make. Theres nothing like turning on/off or adjusting the light and have a quick response vs waiting 3-5 seconds for the change to take affect. No comparison, buy a brand name and dont look back.

Update 4 months later. 5 stars to 1 star. Outlet no longer responds to smartthings. It will report its state(on or off) but it will not respond to on or off commands via smartthings or alexa. Attempted to remove device and re pair, but it does not show up. It is a paperweight now. Power load on device was 8 watts. Should not have died with such little amperage. This paired with smartthings very easily. I use it to automatically turn on the under cabinet lights when there is motion. I like that it leaves enough access to the other outlet on the wall. The second unswitched output is a big plus. Alexa found it no problem.

This was simple to install and set up - it took me less than 3 minutes - This is after I tried other unites and could not get them to pair. I will probably get another one in the next few days.

Tried auto connect as written on plastic and manual connect from instructions. Was 5 feet from hub, and moved to 1 foot from hub still nothing. SmartThings hub V2

No problem connecting to my smart things… I don’t have a neutral wire running in my house so I can’t use any of the dimming type switches... To control non-smart lightbulbs.

This plug-in Z-wave smart switch easily integrated into my Samsung SmartThings environment and let me convert my standard on/off lamp into a “smart” dim-able lamp.

Man is this thing weird. First, when I bought it I thought it didnt work right. It would connect to my Hubitat hub, and when I sent a command to turn the device on or off, the light on the front would change accordingly, but the connected lamp wouldnt turn on. I returned it and exchanged it for another one. These things happen, maybe I just got a defective product. Nope, the other one did the same thing. It wasnt until I looked closely that I realized the lamp was on but very very dim. I tried issuing a command to set the brightness to 100% - the device didnt do anything, still super dim. After reading the poorly translated instructions, I found that you can manually set a minimum and maximum brightness level on the dimmer. Except you had to follow a cryptic set of button presses to get it to set those values. So I followed the instructions which say that you set the minimum brightness first, and the maximum second. Didnt work. So I tried it the other way - set the maximum brightness first, and the minimum second. FINALLY I was able to get the dimmer working, to turn on and off, and to set the brightness from my hub. THEY SET THE MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS TO 1 out of 100 BY DEFAULT! I only give it 2 stars because after all of this effort setting it up, and despite its problems, it does actually work. I can turn the light on and off and dim it, but I would definitely not buy another one of these until Eva Logik gets their junk together. It is terrible. Buy something else.
