Greater than one weekIn an age of tool snobbery, the Shinto Rasp stands out as a truly exceptional value!! It serves as both a coarse and fine flat rasp of generous size. It does its job surprisingly well and leaves a finish that is very good for a rasp!!. For the price, nothing can come close to its value!!

> 3 dayThis Shinto Saw Rasp is something from another world. So much can be done with this tool itself - I love it.

Greater than one weekThis was a pleasant surprise. Dont need/use a rasp often but this is much finer (as in cut) than most. This makes it easier to finesse a little clean up/trim up. Very happy with this tool.

> 3 dayI work with wood a lot- mostly carving with power tools and generally leaving the surface rough, but need things to touch up areas. I only have fairly cheap rasps, so dont know what a pricey (if that means good) rasp might do, but this thing really is great! Its pretty aggressive, yet smooth- probably especially useful if you want to create the illusion of a flatter surface. This feels almost like a hand plane, but rough.
