These plugs work great. They were easy to pair and have worked well since I started using them. If there is a complaint to be made, I would say that by requiring 2.4 GHz WiFi signal rather than 5 GHz is a detraction. I would prefer not split the WiFi signal.

I would have given this product a 5 rating if only they would bother making the instructions clear. ts ridiculous to put instructions in the packaging that are such a jumbled mess. I was going back and forth from alexa and the smart life app and it was extremely frustrating. I was ready to give up trying to install and activate these plugs. Then I thought KISS (keep it simple stupid). Once I figured it out all 4 were installed in minutes. DO ONLY 1 PLUG AT A TIMe. This is what worked for me: (I have an android phone so I dont know if it would work the same on an iphone) 1. Install and register smart life app. 2. open the app it will default to 2.4 Ghz, leave it as it is. 2. Top right corner there is a plus sign (+) click on it and select add device 3. that next page is titled add manually. you will see all kinds of devices listed. I selected lighting, at the top of the list, plug (BLE+wi-fi) 4. From there the instructions are easy to follow. When your done with that: 5. Open your alexa app, select devices and click on the + sign on the top right corner. A menu will pop up, select add device. That next page will ask you what would you like to set up? select plug. you will be asked what brand, scroll thru till you see Bn-Link and select it. that will bring up a page that says connect your Bn-Link to Alexa, but at the bottom you will see discover devices click on that.Alexa immediately recognized the plugs and I was able to name or place in groups etc Good luck :)

Now that Ive got them set up, these switches do exactly what I want. I have 3 devices I want switched on or off at the wall, and I always want to turn them all on or off at once. Both the BN-Link app and Alexa let me do exactly that, turn them all on or off from my phone with a single tap. I had a few minor issues connecting them initially. I couldnt detect any of them with Bluetooth, so I had to select them manually. The BN-Link app thought I had to switch my phone from my 5 Ghz network to my 2.4 Ghz network, but that wasnt actually necessary. Both are internally part of the same network, so it didnt matter that the switches were connecting via 2.4 Ghz. Alexa integration was super easy, but I ended up using the BN-Link app anyway. Id use Alexa if I wanted to use voice control, but I really wanted control from my phone, and the BN-Link app is friendlier for that. One of my 4 switches was defective, and wouldnt turn on. After some back and forth, BN-Link replaced it for free. No need to return all 4 just because one was bad. It took about a week to get a replacement, and the replacement works fine.

I purchased these to add smart control to my Christmas lights in the house after I was tired of manually plugging and unplugging the lights every day. The included directions are a bit tricky to understand at first, but setup was a breeze once I was smart enough to figure it out. Integration into my Google Assistant and Google home was super simple and worked perfectly. The app has a lot of programming features, most of which I didnt use, but the basic timer function was perfect. I tried to play with some of the other settings, and they didnt quite work the way i intended (could be user error) but again, basic needs were met. Overall very good outlets for the price and very easy setup with lots of great features.

I originally bought these for my indoor Christmas lights and pre-lit tree. You can either put them on a schedule or manually turn on/off on the app. I had them on a schedule, but when 2000 miles away for a trip I was able to control them, too (verified by checking my indoor cameras). I had a different schedule for each day and room because I’m a weirdo and wanted it to look like I was home rather than having all the windows light up at once. Mild paranoia, I suppose, but I love the flexibility and customization provided. Zero issues with Wi-Fi.
