Canon MP480 All-in-One Photo Printer

Pleased with this printer, and for such a small price, it more than compensates for any shortcomings!

Im not kidding! This is the best little printer Ive ever seen. I previously owned a Dell. It was several years old, and the print jobs were just not up to par anymore. I ordered this one, and when I printed the first pictures, I couldnt believe it. I wish I had ordered it sooner.

Ive been wanting to purchase this unit... have it on my Wish List. Been tracking the Amazon price(s) waiting till the cost falls below mfg suggested ($99.99). Checked today... Price $126.95! Checked the Canon website, price $99.99 Sorry Amazon... ya lost my biz on this one.

It is very easy to use and gets the job done, however it gets a lot of paper jams and the ink runs out quickly.

I like the printer, but we aware that replacement ink is quite expensive - about $50 for both. They cannot be refilled and Ive found no generic replacement available.

I just using it as a scanner. It has the best function Ive never seen before which can scanner a book as one pdf fire and just using one button.

Received this printer with the I-Mac. We like the features e.g., copy & scan. However, as noted in other reviews, this printer eats up the ink. If we were printing more B & W, I definitely would consider a laser printer.

This printer was easy to install and works great. It has a very nice set of options and it is extremely easy to use. The printer was delivered in the time frame provided. Overall, I am very satisfied with my new printer. The only minor drawback is the size...a little bit bigger than I expected.

We purchased the Canon MP480 (all-in-one no fax) along with a new computer purchase late in February so have only had it in service approx 1 month. Set up and putting into service could not have been easier. There was a bit of confusion following the instructions, but determined that the automatic find and initiation was beter than instructions to the point that it seemed seamless. We have a 64 bit Windows Vista computer. The scan/copy aspects are smooth and easy with good interface. We downloaded Adobe PDF plugins for Word so dont know if that is the means by which we can save scanned items directly to PDF but that is neat especailly directly to multi-page documents (Only have Adobe Reader software). They are a bit large in size but efficient. Printing a photo on the included 4x6 print paper was very impressive. Printing in general is pretty fast ... home office with not intensive requirements. The printer is a bit noisy, but knowing that something is not breaking makes it OK. Have not had any ink problems thus far. Other reviewers complained about ink usage. The Amazon $70 with free shipping is a real value ... did not see anything to compare. I read reviews and also determined the Canon was a good buy ... performance wise as well.
