> 24 hourHeats quickly and well, etc, etc. But the digital temp. selector is clumsy as hell compared to the old simple dial. Its not too bad b/c I dont switch temps regularly but what an odd design decision.

The temperature is easy to read and adjust, and it gets fully up to temp in about 15 seconds and STAYS THERE. If you plan on soldering even one project, this thing is totally worth the money for clean solder joints and an iron that will hold temp. The iron holder is a sturdy brushed metal, and the placement of the wire cleaner and brush work out well, plus the overall quality of the iron and tips themselves is outstanding. For home soldering, you will never need another iron!
