> 3 dayIve spent the past five weeks trying to find a monitor these days that doesnt suffer inherent defects such as clouding and light bleeding or dead pixels. After buying 3 HP 24ih FHD Monitors, 5 Samsung 24 QHD Monitors, and one ASUS TUF 27 QHD Monitor (all of which suffer significant light bleed, clouding or dead pixels), I settled on this LG Monitor. I am so happy that all the others are going back. The monitor itself is beautiful and the quality is great. After all the monitors I tried, this was the only one that didnt have significant light bleeding and no clouding that I can see. The colors are great, the brightness is good, the refresh speed is nice and the setup was easy. In fact its so good that I bought 4 more of these monitors to replace my triple monitor setup, and one for the Mrs. as her second monitor. This screen is not 100% perfect, but compared to the others I had bought, its near-perfect by comparison and Im just going to settle on this. The only issue is the bottom left corner has slightly more light bleeding than the other corners, mostly noticeable when watching a movie or viewing something dark (and even then you would need to focus on it), but its not as bad as the other monitors, and it feels more like an angle thing rather than a defect like clouding. I would totally recommend if youre looking for a quality monitor at a reasonable price.

> 3 dayNote: The first display received was a loser in the so-called panel lottery. Horrendous backlight bleed, and a stuck pixel to go with it. Amazon rectified the issue within 2 days, and the second panel is better. Will not be returning the second. Whats in the box? - Your new panel and stand (w/ cable management system) - HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 cables - Power cable Things I like: - Color accuracy in sRGB mode is about as good as it gets without advanced calibration - Power saving mode is quick to respond to a sleeping computer - Some of the gaming features are neat, even if I wont use them - G-SYNC works as described - Picture quality is great, and the 144hz refresh rate is a game changer if this is an upgrade for you - The monitor settings are intuitive, and the controls are better than the four button system present on other panels What I dont like: - Backlight bleed still present in second panel - The stand is flimsy, and has a lot more give than Id like. Ill be replacing it soon. - On the topic of the stand, the cable management system is a joke. It amounts to a hook on the back in an inconvenient location. If your machine is to the left of your monitor... You will not use this. - The power cable has an ENORMOUS power supply that takes up more than half of a standard power strip Overall, Id have no trouble recommending this monitor. Im happy to accept that I got a bad panel the first time, and that it isnt the norm. Expect to replace the stand, but other than that... Well done LG.

> 3 dayI love IPS panels. I used an Acer IPS for years before I decided to step up, and I have pretty high expectations for response time, color quality, and input delay. This monitor easily hits all of the marks. With the nano IPS version, or the regular, I really dont think you could go wrong. 1ms response time is a lie, but thats true of every monitor on the market that isnt a TN, and those monitors dont look very good at this price range. The fast overdrive preset - where youre going to keep this monitor - is phenomenally fast and responsive (one of the fastest IPS displays without ghosting), even at 60Hz. Another huge positive for this thing is that its dead silent. No electrical wailing or hissing. Ive read from other reviews that the headphone jack has poor sound, but it sounds no different than my motherboards sound card to me, coming from my desktop speakers and my many wasted years of being an audiophile. Maybe its using some sort of line-out mode and the headphone amp just sucks? My only real nitpick with this monitor is that it likes the color red a tad too much (likely not an issue on the non-nano). Also, dont bother with the HDR. Its literally a joke. One other thing, you can do 144Hz over HDMI, Freesync just has to be off. If you are coming from a 60Hz display, let me reassure you that screen tearing is nowhere near as noticeable at 144Hz. To summarize this review, 9/10 monitor, good for playing PlanetSide 2 and Sonic 3.

> 3 dayTL:DR - great monitor, recommended, great color, almost as good as an IPS, frame rates are perfect. Good solution without requiring tons of GPU power like 4K. Pros - Color - Blacks/Contrast - Refresh Rate - Resolution/aspect ratio Cons - Possible QC issues - One stuck pixel I have had this monitor for about two months now. The monitor overall is a fantastic display and I personally really love the high refresh rate for gaming while having good color reproduction, and decent blacks in comparison to TN panels. I have always been one to buy IPS only and sacrifice having 100, 120, or faster refresh rates for gaming for the sake of color and image quality. While I feel IPS panels do still have stronger color especially the high cost pro panels, this is a far better color option than TN panels and allows for the high refresh rate as well, so personally it is a happy compromise in my opinion. My only complaint is I have owned a good number $300, to $500, to even $600+ monitors and all have come with no issues, no stuck pixels, no dead pixels, nothing, this particular one came with a stuck white pixel. Which indicates a possible QC issues for LG on these panels. Fortunately it is in a spot that I cant even notice or tell its there and it is only one, I have attempted to run tools and videos that would repair it and unstick the pixel as they say the pixel but, to no luck so far. I could have simply shipped it back to amazon and they would have gladly exchanged it but, honestly this one pixel is in a spot that is of little impact to its day to day usage and gets lost in gaming all together. Near the upper right bezel, so very minimal in its distraction. So I decided to live with it and really have no complaint otherwise about this display. I have had 1080p monitors, 21:9 3440 and even 2560 resolution ultrawides, and to be honest I find this to be the ideal sweat spot for productivity, compatibility with games and content, as well as the least GPU intensive while getting higher pixel counts and an overall better usable resolution. I also prefer the height of this resolution wise and aspect ratio to the lower cost ultra wides with similar resolutions. I debated on 4K and that is just in my opinion not quite here yet, takes way too much GPU to get good frame rate in games and some applications just do not scale well on 4k still. While I would prefer the PPI of 4k, this is the better of the two while still getting great frame rates in games. With my laptop which is an Alienware R15 from 2017 it has a GTX 1060 and this display at full resolution and most things ultra or high quality I tend to get 90+ to 130+ frame rate maximums and average about 60 FPS which is a good sweet spot. I am in the process of building a new desktop but, I found this pretty good for a resolution jump from the native 1080p of the built in display to this. Which is even better than I use to get with my 3440 21:9 UW display I had a year or two back. I do miss 16:10 aspect ratios as the standard for computers however. Miss the extra height. Oh well 16:9 is what we get now.

> 3 dayWithin the first few months of owning this monitor I noticed a crack in my screen on the upper right quadrant that wasnt there previously. Im almost certain it was not of my own doing since I dont touch my monitors unless its with a microfiber cloth to clean them, and I dont remember bumping into it with anything either. On further inspection, the crack seems to be almost exactly 6-8 pixels wide, and is completely straight horizontally, like perfectly so, which I think also rules out that I scratched it somehow. Im thinking that maybe one very small component got too hot and the screen cracked there as a result or something, I dont know. Again, I dont touch my monitor and I dont use sharp objects around it either, so I was pretty surprised to see this. At first I thought it was some dead pixels. Some might think such a small crack isnt noticeable in normal use, and sometimes it isnt on darker backgrounds, but on anything lighter though its quite noticeable, like a permanent small hair which you cant wipe off no matter what. Its a bit hard to see in the picture, but there it is.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to add to my existing 2 monitor setup. This is my 3rd monitor that will work at my primary gaming monitor as well as for editing photos in Photoshop and Lightroom. The color is amazing and the sharpness and responsiveness is unlike anything Id experienced before. Id been gaming on a 1080p monitor for the past 13+ year at 60hz and moving up to 1440p at 144hz was a huge upgrade from what Id grown used to. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The crosshair overlay option in the monitor settings comes in handy BIG TIME in 1st and 3rd person shooters also. For the price, I dont think youll find much better in this current market.

> 3 dayFirst experience with 1440p and higher than 60hz. Happy with it! Yeah, I know! 4K and 8k gaming are the future! Yes, the future, not now. My 3070 plays very nicely with this monitor so I am good for years of gaming.

> 3 dayI bought this 5/6/22 and on 5/5/22 the screen went black. My pc acknowledged the monitor was there and was treating it as such. I changed my DP cable with another then HDMI and used different ports. I contacted LG on 6/6/22 and they had to deny me of service because i didnt have ANOTHER compatible computer to test it on. when I had a 15yr old pc with an HDMI and a adapter for DP. I called Amazon 20 minutes after and they warrantied it out even tho it was pass the Amazon warranty. Guess what?, It works.. LG and their smarty pants Indian tech support can shove it. I built my gaming PC with amazon parts and Youtube. If i can rebuild engines and gut the inside of your car and make it better than the factory then i can build and understand electronics. Maybe LG tech support shouldnt pre-judge ppl who are asking them for advice.

> 3 dayAmazing picture and quality out the box. Very crisp. I would rate it a 9.9 out of 10. There is slight ghosting if you set the response rate to Faster in the monitor settings. HOWEVER, I did not find ANY benefit at all with this setting so you are good to leave it on Fast(Default) and there is no ghosting on that option. Not sure if overclocking it 165hz fixes that but I dont need 19 more hertz. Like some reviews have pointed out, the monitor gets recognized by Windows as a sound source despite no speakers but thats a Windows thing I think and the monitor does smudge pretty easily if you touch it. No big deal either. Overall, the monitor is great. I have been on the market for one and have spent a week looking at all the options on Amazon and this one was a great choice. If you are looking for a good IPS monitor, this is it! Will update if anything comes up in the future.
