The build quality is amazing. Comes with two receivers, so you can play in your original Sega Genesis too. The d-pad is absolutely awesome, this is the best controller to play 16 bit games ever made

I ordered this controller for my Genesis mainly because I wanted a more modern wireless solution. This controller does not disappoint. It comes with a nice case, a charging cable (micro-usb, why not usb-C?), and transmitters for both USB and for the Genesis 9-pin. So not only can I use it on the Genesis, but I can also use it on my PC. I also really like the way this controller feels in my hands, especially compared to the bulky three-button original Genesis controller. This one just fits nicely in my hands.

I bought this to use with the Sega Genesis Mini and I am here to tell you that I couldnt be happier. From where the game console sits on my entertainment center to my couch is a good 15 feet and this controller doesnt miss a beat. It is very responsive and there is absolutely no time lag, not to mention it is virtually identical to the 8 button controllers I had with my original Sega Genesis as a kid. So, if you bought a Sega Genesis Mini and are looking to get further away from your big screen tv, dont want the mess of wires laid out across the floor, but you still want to keep that original Sega Genesis look and feel to go with the console then this my friend is the controller for you.

I wanted to add a review because I saw mixed information about whether this worked with the Sega Genesis mini 2 console. I just tested it, and it does work. Im not sure why I didnt work for the other reviewers. I assume it would for the first Genesis mini as well.

I purchased this wireless controller recently to use with my PC and I was hoping it would also work with my Atari. Great news! It works. So lets start with the good things: The look and the packaging are both outstanding. It comes with a nice case that holds the controller, the 2 dongles, USB cord and manual. It works with a wide variety of systems, including the Atari 2600 and 7800 (one-button only). I have yet to test on my Atari computer and original Genesis, but those should work fine with it too. Now for some not-so-good things: the controller is very light, which seems a bit odd. I never had this particular model of wired Genesis controller, so I cant really compare it though. Actually the only Genesis controller I have is a wired Hyperkin 6-button which is bigger and seems heavier. They could have put some weights in it. Just sayin. But the worst thing about this controller has to do with pairing. It should be automatic, and many times it is not. The controller and receiver lose their connection somewhat quickly when power is shut off to the system, then they need to be paired again by holding down buttons on both the dongle and controller. This is not so much of an issue on the PC, where you can switch games and emulators quickly without ever shuttling down the system, but with a console, you typically have to. I found that on the Atari 2600, if you swap out cartridges quickly (within 10 seconds or so) it will usually automatically re-pair itself. It didnt always do that on the Atari 7800 however and I had to fight with the pairing buttons again. Also, with emulators on the PC, you will have to go into the settings and manually configure some of them (for example, in Stella, you will have to set the inputs to move up or down manually). Anyway, for $35, I was expecting a little better. For a comparison, the Blue Lake wireless PS2 controllers, while not Genesis compatible, are half the price, work great with PCs, and always pair automatically.

Makes saving and Loading games so much easier on my genesis mini. I havent tried it on my pc yet. I hope it will work well on it as well.

Works on every console or mini console Ive tried it on , and also my old Genesis. The D-pad is extremely touchy, but its not a problem. Its super light. Great controller that Im sorry I didnt get sooner!

Made of a nice hard plastic, buttons are receptive to commands. Inputs happen with zero noticeable lag. Fantastic controller for any retro gamer who is tired of cables making the retro set up look like crap. Love these controllers!
