ROXIO EASY CD & DVD

I happen to have a computer that is running windows 2000 pro as an OS and this product is suppose to work with that system but it does not! Im still working on the problem but no resolve as of yet. If anyone has any suggestions let me know, Roger

Instant garbage. Not worth the hassle of returning. Roxio a fine software manufacturer, no longer makes or supports this version.

This software has crashed my system so many times, I actually bought a new computer thinking it was my system, and of course their tech support strongly suggested it was a system issue. And that supports costs me $25 dollars, per issue. Some issuse I think were related, such as my system crashing and their software failing writes, were charged seperately. Add the new computer and you have $1,075 wasted. And even when it did work, I would have 4 out of 10 writes fail on me. They kept pointing to the recorder. Well, after months of this BS, I did a fresh install from the recovery disk on my new computer and installed another software program. Nero 6.6, and since then I have not had a single system crash, 60 out of 60 succesful writes, and a program that is full feature and WORKS as they advertise. No more crap for me, and no more wasted calls to Support. Or should I say Lack-Of-Support!!

Wont even detect an mp4 on your system. Cant burn MKV. Seems to only work with WMV and even then the quality sucks. Dont waste your money on this junk. If I could give a negative star rating it would be -4.

The program is ok thought the old Easy CD Creator was easier in use, especially in making jewelcasecovers, but im not a wizzkid so i might be wrong about this. Anyway, i dont like the program very much and rather work with Easy CD Creator 6, though i lost my code, so .......

Stopped working after a few uses. Refuses to launch. Asking for a refund.

I bought this software cheap ($10) after an instant rebate and mail-in rebate (that should have been a tip off) from a major big-box office retailer. I am running XP Service Pack 3 on a custom built computer with plenty of ability to run such a package. Right now I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 installed and it works fine copying, burning and making libraries and projects with CDs and DVDs. I have been happy with this version. However, because its 6 years old, I decided to try a newer Roxio product because I plan to upgrade to Win 7 and thought a newer package would be compatible with the new Windows. My purchase was a big mistake. I am a fairly experienced computer user 20+ years, so I should have known better. Basically, as in most things, you get what you pay for, so the low price should have been a warning. It turns out that this is 3-year old software (2007) and its slow. Yes, I got it to install OK and it removed my Roxio 7 and it was able to use it to copy a CD. However, it has a clunky interface and, in my opinion, is worse than the older product it sort of replaced. Fortunately, I have Rollback 8.0 on my machine (a great 5-star program by the way - its saved me numerous times) and was able to go back to a previous time and got rid of this Roxio product. Now it goes in the trash. After reading reviews of the latest Roxio products, I am going to stay away from all of them.

This product is exactly what I needed. When I purchased my computer it came with Record Now! I wanted the Drag and Drop feature so I downloaded DLA. I had big problems it would not allow me to access the control panels of MY Computer and asked for a refund. I just purchased Easy CD and DVD Burning and it works like a charm. The installation went smooth. Since Ive read so many reviews about problems, I began by creating a restore point then I removed Record Now!. After that I followed the steps for installation and tested it out! So far no problems!

I really like the Roxio Easy CD & DVD program. It is great and easy to do when I need it. My sister told me about Roxio when I was in Iowa. When I got back to CA.I ordered it. So glad I did.

I had to install the software atleast three times, contacted the tech support, and nothing helped, the software did not work with window XP, had to uninstalle and and keep with it with other junks that I have.
