Greater than one weekI finally bought the 6 disc version of the Beatles Anniversary sets and everything is great about it except that there are not very many photos of White Albums recording sessions included in the sets book.In fact, there are more photos of the White Album recording sessions on the internet.

> 3 dayI love 180g vinyl. It sounds great with the exception of four pops near the center of disc one/side one.

> 3 dayOverpriced at full price, but patience can score a decent sale price. There are many highly detailed reviews so I will summarize. The book is excellent. I learned much, especially on who played what, since the usual players of instruments went out the window on this album. John Lennon on bass on Helter Skelter and Guitar Weeps, for example. I always thought John was counting on the drum break on Birthday but its Paul. And I thought Ringo overdubbed the drums at the end of Dear Prudence, but the evidence is not there when you hear the outtake. And so on. The Giles remix? Overall its good, better bottom end, clearer vocals. Some gripes, but that is inevitable, you cant please everyone. My gripe, drums and bass should never be relegated to one speaker. Still, an A grade, better than anything before it and I have heard them all. The Esher demos, overrated. Even the outtakes and such are interesting and sound good, but many will be heard as one and done. The unreleased songs such as Not Guilty are the most likely to be played several times. The casual fan base should be more than pleased with the basic release, the hardcore fan the same with the extra packed super deluxe. Cant wait for Abbey Road.
