Trigger Start Torch

Claims a temperature that should easily melt and flow brass. Not true. It will only deform but melting at 1650 and flowing at above 1710 does not happen, so temperature claim is significantly misrepresented/false.

This is well worth the money. I’ve tried the cheap torch heads and a similar priced one, this one beats them all. You click the button to ignite the flame and release the button to extinguish it. It makes soldering copper so much safer and more efficient. I bought a hose to attach to the tank to make it even easier to use

I have a torch with igniter from 30 years ago and it works great except you have to make sure you put down the torch so the flame does not point at anything. A plumber friend had one of these TS8000 and I was sold. It is fantastic to let go of the button and have the flame go out, so I can focus on the work rather than if Im going to burn something I dont want to. Great product.

First one arrives and is pretty much DOA. The regulator doesn’t work properly and it can’t keep ignition. Brand new propane cylinder as well. Extremely disappointed. Be cautious if you are ordering under time constraints.

I bought this product at an Ace Hardware Store. Very nice design. It worked great for a year for starting fires in the woodstove. Then the igniter died. Thats not durable enough. I gave it two stars. I wrote the manufacturer, and despite the fact that it was beyond the warranty, they replaced it when I sent them the defective igniter. I changed my review to four stars as a vote for integrity. Sometimes you get to feel better about America.

Love this. Sturdy well made. Lots of consistent power. Not too heavy.
