> 3 dayI bought this torch, to do brazing w/o O2, since acetylene can cut hole into copper pipe in 3 seconds and waste my copper braze rods. Its also easier to carry with MAP gas holster & extended hose. Great buy!

> 3 dayI love this torch. I purchased one for finishing sous vide meats. Works perfectly. The stay-on trigger mechanisim is excellent and really makes things easier. Be sure to purchase MAP gas canisters not propane if using for cooking as propane is far more likely to impart torch-taste. Also, dont buy this from Amazon. As another reviewer noted you can get a much better deal buying this from Home Depot. I purchased mine there. It included a tank of MAP gas and I purchased a second backup tank as well. This came out to $63 dollars total including tax for THREE items as opposed to the absurd $64 dollars being charged by this vendor for JUST THE TORCH HEAD!!! BOO!! STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!!

10-06-2025Bought this as a gift for my brother at his request. Dont know much about it, but do know that my brother is very, very particular about his tools. Based on that, this must be a good product.

> 3 dayAfter I got a Searzall that needed a bigger torch than my Bernzomatic 3500, I upgraded to the 8000. Man - this thing is great! Easier ignition, hotter flame, gets the job done quicker. Im keeping the 3500 in a drawer for when I need a cooler flame as I feel its better for lighter use cases, but I wish I had gotten the 8000 sooner.
