Just as good as new. Needed an additional monitor for work and this is perfect. Much less strain on my eyes.

this is a decent monitor. i use it for coding in portrait mode and it is really convenient. as for gaming, the response time can be a little disappointing. In FPS, you can feel the lag between your hand and eyes. CAREFUL: theres a lot of defective products of this model they may send you. The defective ones has the notorious yellow tint problem. it is not very noticeable unless 1) you are a worker of graphics and color 2) you have a good model to compare from and 3) when you set the mode to warm and the yellow really strike your eyes. Ive only managed to have bought one without that yellow tint problem. Ive bought and returned 2 defective monitors back and forth. Amazon claims that they need to get to the bottom of this yellow tint problem with DELL and Im still waiting for their response. btw: all my defective ones was shipped from goodyear AZ. just beware.

VGA source not found message, because of trying to use display port. Powering off in 2 minutes. A link for dell support is on the screen, but it doesnt take you useful information. Use the 4 buttons on the right side of monitor to change the display input settings. This is a huge oversight in the very basic install picture instructions that would save lots of time. Great for its anti-glare properties and adjustability.

I like the three-way adjustments (height, tilt and pivot); the clear but non-glare matte screen; the three USB2 ports, and the high resolution compared to 1680x1050 monitors. It came with a VGA and an HDMI cable, and the USB2 master cable. In fact, there is nothing to complain of except that this is not a 22 monitor. It is 21.5 diagonal, meaning that instead of 11.75 display height you get 10.5. The difference is very noticeable. Still, because of its good points, I would probably buy it again.

The display (mines an A00 rev) has pretty uniform brightness and respectable color reproduction for the price range ($200 plus or minus $20) especially with calibration. I dont have the yellow tint issues others are reporting; that sounds to me like a warranty-replaceable defect. There is IPS glow but its unobtrusive. The backlight is non-PWM, that is to say the brightness is controlled via direct current, so people sensitive to backlight flicker will notice none on this monitor. Input lag is unnoticeable to me (under 6 ms) and theres minimal ghosting. About the only improvement gaming-wise would be faster refresh rate, but thats still largely the domain of TN panels. I do notice more fluidity in the 144 Hz Asus VG248QE when playing twitchy shooters (e.g. CS:GO) but unless youre really into your shooters, 60 Hz panels like the P2414H are fine. For other genres this display is excellent. The OSD and physical buttons are utilitarian and straightforward; they do their job well. I appreciate the ability to turn off the powered on indicator LED. The stand is not the most robust ever created but its entirely serviceable; it looks nice, its sturdy, and its easily attached to and removed from the monitor. Adjustments are all straightforward and easy to manipulate (theres tilt, swivel, rotate, and height adjustment). It looks nice in portrait or landscape. A 100 mm VESA mount is present, too. For about $100 more one can get the U2414H (Ultrasharp) which is very similar to this monitor in terms of the display characteristics and stand but has thinner bezels on the top and sides, 4x USB 3.0 ports and HDMI inputs (among other differences). I didnt need any of those things so Im content with the P2414H.

Not the cheapest 24 you can buy. I did some research and came across a few nice reviews which were quite thorough. One in particular from the UK. Quite a thorough review. Well reviewed. What I like about this unit is the matte finish on the screen so reduced glare and the aluminum base styling. Needs to have a HDMI input but this is easily gotten around. Not sure why they provided every input but a HDMI. Now I hope it lasts a long time for the money I paid for it.

I bought three of these for a multi-monitor setup with my early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15, and it works beautifully. For those interested, I believe you need the higher end MBPr models that come equipped with discreet (internal) Nvidia graphics card, so you may have issues with the 13 or non-Retina models. My setup was: 1 HDMI to DisplayPort and 2 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Details matter: most 2013+ era MacBook Pros use Mini DisplayPort connections (e.g. Thunderbolt) on the notebook (*not* full size DisplayPort). I opted for 6 Better Cables brand cables purchased from Amazon, but you could also use: 1 HDMI to DVI-D single link (not dual link, and not plain DVI) and: 2 Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt compatible) to DisplayPort (not Mini) If you have a Thunderbolt hub, youll need a MB with 2 Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt connections, because hubs will take one of your Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt plugs and you cant use both the hub HDMI and hub MDP/TB plugs simultaneously. Lastly, do your testing with the Macbook Pros lid opened and plugged in. Reboot at least once before futzing with sleep mode, as this can cause weirdness (especially if youve got USB keyboard/mouse plugged into a hub -- they might not wake up).

I spent the last month studying monitors in the 23-24 range and finally settled on this unit, as I have good luck with Dell monitors. My primary use is home applications and gaming (Crysis, Sins of a Solar Empire, Star Craft, etc...). Out of the box it came nearly completely calibrated...only very minor updates made. Nice clean look and terrific flexibility in the stand (tilt, height, swivel, horizontal to vertical). Also considered the mid-range of Asus, HP, Dell, and BenQ.
