> 3 dayVery impressed with this monitor. Picture quality is very good. Sharp text, good color, very bright and clear. The IPS display is wonderful. For a 1080p monitor, it doesnt get much better than this. The build quality is great and the adjustable stand is fantastic. Easy to raise, lower, rotate or turn into vertical mode. I will be buying another. Dell monitors are typically very good and this is no exception.

16-06-2025Actually, this is a very nice and clear monitor but you might want to think twice about buying it. We had Dell monitor fail after about 3 months and trying to get a warranty replacement is time consuming and I am still waiting for Dell to confirm that my Amazon purchase is legitimate. I buy a lot of monitors for my company and after this experience Im thinking about dropping Dell from the list of suppliers. The first thing youll find if you try to get support is that the Dell site asks you for your SERVICE CODE or EXPRESS SERVICE TAG number which monitors dont have and theres no way around this prompt. The only thing you can do is wait on the phone line and not enter answers to any prompts until a person answers the phone. Then figure on spending 40 minutes answering questions, sending proof of purchase, and another couple of days waiting for your purchase to be verified (Im still waiting). Like buying a car, the car can be wonderful but if the service/support stinks that youll hate owning it. Dell needs to get their act together if they are going to sell monitors.

Greater than one weekThere is a glitch in hos it responds after sleep mode. The picture is distorted but cycling the power corrects the problem. Otherwise Im satisfied with the quality of the monitor and its picture. I especially like having the ability to change into portrait view for writing and editing. Good value.

> 3 dayI love the ability to view web pages and spread sheets in portrait view. Email is also much quicker to navigate when you can see much more in one view. I use it as a second monitor for a mac book air at work. I didnt have any of the problems others have reported with viewing in portrait mode. I also found a great apple script to use with a hot key via an app named shortcuts to rotate the monitor with lightening speed. With out that it would be quite cumbersome to switch it back in forth.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to use in portrait mode and I was extremely pleased to find that its picture quality in portrait mode is exactly the same as in landscape mode, which is uncommon. The P2414H has one of the narrowest bezels available in a 24 which also lended itself well to my application. It has a business-class non-reflective screen surface which I prefer. Startup sync is nearly instantaneous via DisplayPort. Overall image quality is quite good. I liked that the OSD can be rotated to portrait mode, although it doesnt work automatically via a rotation sensor, that would have been a nice plus. Im using the integrated USB hub for mouse and keyboard and it works fine. Included cables comprise a USB host-to-target for the built-in USB hub, a DisplayPort, and an analog VGA. A snap-on plastic cover is also included which masks the cable connections on the back of the monitor which helps cosmetically if people can see the back. I would give this unit 5 stars except for some reason Dell failed to include sRGB compliance in the image presets. I notice the P2414H is Windows Logod, and I thought that sRGB was required for Windows logo. sRGB in presets is a quick way to set up 6500K color temperature and 2.2 gamma, so in situations where I cant use a real color calibrator I like to have sRGB preset so I dont have to fiddle with color and contrast settings. Dell supplies an ICM profile with their monitor driver download, but it has only one profile for P2414H D6500 rather than multiple profiles for the different color presets available via the OSD, and its unclear exactly what settings the ICM profile corresponds to, so its essentially useless. Note that the monitor has internal sound, but no speakers unless you purchase the optional soundbar. I only mention this because plugging in the P2414H will automatically set it as your primary sound device and you wont hear anything since there are no speakers. My sound going away puzzled me for a moment until I noticed the monitor had enumerated and audio device.

> 3 dayWhereas so many of the TV sized screens are bulky, hot and inflexible, this items is just right. The economical price is certainly not indicative of any reduction in quality. The warrantee is solid and the product performs as describe. Stands are sized and balanced such that they do not overwhelm you desktop ... very pleased with this aspect. Stands rotate for reading documents. The design is secure and well balanced and esthetically pleasing from all angles. If looking for a seamless panoramic view, at 0.75 these frames create a 1.5 break in break in picture continuity. These are PERFECT for all split screen business applications. Monitor mounts are VESA compatible and attach with four screws which are 4x4 (square) distance one from one another. The original mount and stand union integrate flush to the center rear of the monitor in a seamless design. The monitor mount receives the 4.75x4.75 stand plate and has two slots at the top corners for receiving two 0.5 metal tabs found on the stand. The bottom is secured with a push button clip.

> 3 dayThis is a great monitor. It has a sturdy stand. Images are bright, clear and sharp, although overly bright with the out of box settings. Currently set brightness 10 and contrast 78. i am using the DVI input although that is the one cable not included. I would have given this a 5 out of 5 except for one thing. I cannot figure out how to register this for the warranty! Dell website requires a 7 digit service tag number and then goes on to say that most monitors do not have a service tag number and this is one that does not! I have an account with Dell but it only wants to access products already purchased.

> 3 dayAt first I bought this monitor just as a temporary monitor until I buy a legit, bigger monitor because I was planning on using dual monitors and use this one as a sub monitor since it can pivot and rotate 180. A month after I got this DELL monitor I bought BENQ gaming monitor. As I planned, I started using BENQ as a main and this one as a sub (rotated). However, while I was playing bunch of 3D steam games, (resident evil 6, witcher 3 etc) I realized that this DELL monitor was the real bad-ass. Of course BENQs bigger, but the color is just not as good as that of DELLs. Ive been using the standard stock setting for my DELL monitor and the clearness, sharpness and color temperature blah blah (I dont know much about this color related jargon so Imma just skip) are JUST SOOOOOOOO Amazing and WAAAAAy better. I have tried every single options for the BenQ monitor (Hue Temp Contrast Saturation bla bla whateva) but It never had same amazing feeling as Dells heavenly screen. I dont even know how to put this but its like watching DELLs monitor is like looking at a nicely cut chocolate squares while watching other monitors are like watching the same thing but all melted and squashed.. I mean this monitor is not even ULTRA SHARP model yet it has the best screen quality and color I have ever experienced. Bottom line, I ended up using this as a main monitor and the bigger gaming monitor as a sub monitor on the side.. cause I would rather play games with smaller screen with better quality than bigger, less fine quality. So I guess that pretty much explains how freakin awesome this monitor is. It was on sale and I got this for $159, and I think this monitor worth way more than that. I would even pay $300 for this monitor if I break mine and have to buy again (and if the price went up). Dont hesitate and just buy this. U WONT REGRET!

Greater than one weekI bought these after good experiences with the monitors I use at work (a newer version of them). They work great for the home use as well. The display quality is great with great color and brightness. I shopped around and look at a dozen monitors in this price range and can honestly say the build quality is among the best on these for the price. I highly recommend them!
