We purchased this monitor after our previous monitor by Summer Infant was discontinued so we weren’t able to get a second camera to hook up to it, so we took advantage of the opportunity to try out a new brand! The good reviews and personal recommendations encouraged us to go with this monitor, and having used it for a while I thought I’d leave a quick review. Pros: Battery life is pretty good It’s nice to be able to turn off the beep for when the battery is low or you go out of range It has the temperature of the room, which is GREAT, our last one didn’t have that It has an icon to show when the talk button is being pressed and the camera end is able to hear you (another feature I like that our last one didn’t have) It has most of the features I expect (2 way communication, video screen, ability to turn on and off the screen to save battery, night vision) Cons: Image is not the most amazing for nighttime use, it’s still a little grainy (our last monitor was the same if not a little better) The image is choppy, especially at night. It doesn’t flow smoothly like a video ought to, instead it is like a bunch of pictures stitched together quickly (our last monitor was way better in this respect) I wish you could adjust the volume on the monitor elsewhere rather than going into the menu each time The kickstand is a little flimsy and it falls over by itself a lot When you turn the screen on it flashes the last image it showed, then updates to the current image. It makes it look like my kid is moving when he’s been still for who knows how long! I miss the charging station of our last monitor, you could just plop it on the station to charge instead of having to plug it in and keep track of the plug and make sure it doesn’t fall off the back of your nightstand when you unplug it for a minute… It was a really nice feature! It would be nice to see the percentage of battery left rather than just estimate based on the battery image looking less or more full Unsure: Range – our friends tell us the range is amazing on their unit, but we’ve had it break up a couple times within our small house (though we think there is lead paint in the walls or something else to prevent it from working 100%. Our last monitor worked about the same) I’m not sure what the antenna does, if it actually helps anything or is just in the way. We haven’t tried or needed the second lens yet, maybe with the baby it will be more helpful since he doesn’t move all around the crib like the older kid does I haven’t figured out what the short cut button is for, and why they dedicated so much space to it Overall a pretty good monitor, and I think

Very good picture quality, self contained electronic signal and system. It works on the strength of its own signal so a WIFI system is of no use to this system. That means you can use the system where ever there is 110 outlets. I tried other camera systems which use various APPs and for the senior citizens using this system the app was too complicated. This system uses its own monitor, which is very portable, very user friendly and has a goof picture quality, Being able to speak to the person on the camera end is very helpful. You can always hear them when you have the monitor volume turned up but they cant hear you unless you push the button to talk. The cameras are truly plug and play. Very easy to use. The remote control unit being its own unit and not an APP on the cell phone is very handy as often, the app on the phones would mean having the phone in the same room and it could ring and there goes your opportunity for peace and quiet. You can connect up to 4 cameras and I did for the system I installed to help friends. Cameras are numbered based upon how they are initially activated. The entire system is very easy to use, works even better than I had hoped and makes this incredibly difficult job my friends have of caring for their 97 year old sister in law a little easier. This product is incredible and easy to use. Many of the other systems and cameras I tried for their needs were not easy to use and didnt work as marketed. Thank you for providing a system which works, works very well and does what its supposed to, and is easy to use. It shocking how many systems cant or dont do this......

I would definitely recommend this camera. However, my only complaint is that the green light (which helps with the night vision and serves as a light sensor) is on the bottom of the camera. As a result, if you have the camera perched up high looking down on your little one, it means that less ambient light will pass through the camera forcing it into Black/White mode rather than color. Its not a big deal as you can still see clearly, but id like to see the color screen during naps and Black/White at night time. This is a minor gripe though as the camera sends a very clear picture. In addition, we have not experienced any problems with reception, which is always good news. Previously, we had an old version of the Summer Infant monitor and camera. The summer infant was more expensive and a bit higher quality but this is a good value and gets similar functionality.

Weve been using this monitor for a few days now in our toddlers room and so far we really like it. Some of the best features so far are the fact that the lowest brightness level on the parent handset screen is pleasantly low so it doesnt blind you when looking at it in the dark at night; the camera pan and tilt gives a great view of almost all of our sons bedroom; the controls on the parent handset are intuitive and easy to use; the volume control has low enough levels for use at night time, again so it doesnt jolt you awake in the middle of the night when our son makes a small noise. This is a definitely upgrade from our previous baby monitor, and we are looking forward to using it in our new babys room as well.

After doing a lot of research I found infant optics to be one of the best monitors. We revived the monitor and camera set as a gift from our registry. Here are the things we love: the picture quality, the range (we can sit out side at our neighbors house, be in our garage or other side of the house and have no issues), the temperature display. Here is the best part!! After using our monitor for a year and half the camera started to have a bad connection with the wires and would randomly loose connection to the monitor. I contacted customer service and they were amazing!! They were able to send me a replacement and our camera and monitor are working wonderfully! I just purchased a second camera for baby #2..we will forever use infant optics monitors!

This is an exact match for the original infant optics camera that came with the monitor we bought for our first child. It looks a little silvery in the picture, but the camera is white with a white cord, which makes it easy to blend into our white walls. This is one of the few cameras that has pan-tilt motors built in, and also 2 zoom settings, microphone, and two-way audio. We have been very happy with the Infant Optics system with our first son (in use for 2 years) and now with our second son and the add-on camera (in use for 1 month). Following the instructions it was very easy to pair with our existing monitor. There is no split screen/audio option. Instead, we can choose which camera will be displayed or to cycle between all cameras on 10 second intervals. Also, if you have the original camera, check the range of where you will be installing the new camera. I dont think its related to this camera itself, but our 2nd crib is right on the threshold of the range from our bed. As such, there is some delay in both directions and the audio/video cuts in and out regularly. But we have thick walls, and the bed is around 3 corners and a solid wood door.

This monitor and camera system has been a life saver since I bought the first camera back in December 2018. I have recently purchased an add on camera for a second baby. It was simple to figure out how to configure the new camera to the monitor, which is good because as a mom with two babies under 2, I don’t have a lot of extra time on my hands. I did have a small issue with my original camera, but it was covered by warranty and their excellent customer service rep was able to help me exchange it quickly. She even followed up with me when I hadn’t responded to her email after a few days. I can’t say enough about the customer service! I was in contact with the same person from start to finish and she was very friendly and helpful.

We have an infant optics monitor and camera for our first daughter that has worked seamlessly for 3 years now. We had a second child so needed another camera. This is camera is an inexpensive solution, as you can easily set it up to use your existing monitor. Set up takes about 2 mins, by pressing the “add” setting on the monitor, and holding down a small button on the back of the camera. It pairs and you’re done. After that, you can easily switch between camera views through the monitor, or have it scan between the two, which switches the view every 10 seconds or so. Both cameras maintain full functionality with night vision, pan, temperature display, and ability to talk through the monitor. Awesome price and quality. Easy set up.

I love that this is a closed loop, non-hackable system. Picture quality is great! I have been able to add cameras on as our family grows. The real factor that takes infant optics to the next level is their customer service! After about 18 months, our signal was dropping a lot and after emailing customer service, Gladys R was all over it!! Provided lots of step by step troubleshooting and frequently checked in to see how these tips were/weren’t working. There was small improvement but not great. She jumped all over coordinating the return of my monitor and sending me a new one without question. I already was happy with the product but the customer service has made me a customer for life and I’ve recommended and bought for my friends numerous times!
