The cable is strong and has a good protective covering that will protect the finish on the tow dolly. I would have given it 5 stars but I have not seen what it is like after a year in the weather. Also the theft warranty does not cover a tow dolly. Beats me because a snowmobile is more expensive.

This is a good multipurpose cable that I use to lock up furniture at times and also secure bikes. I have used it exclusively outdoors for more than a year and it has held up well. I cannot comment on the theft aspect luckily...but thieves will always find a way so think of this as a deterrent. The length is not impeded by its flexibility and can be wrapped quite tightly.

I bought this to add a little security to our hitch mounted cargo bag. I loop in around the whole assembly a few times and lock it in place. I wont prevent someone from stealing anything when it comes down to it, but it can slow them down enough that it is a deterrent in parking lots and rest stops when were not away from the car for long periods of time. I found the cable to be high quality and very well made.

heavy duty and can loop it through itself to make it longer. I use this to secure my generator so it does not walk away. It does the trick not that I have had other items run away YET but I dont really want to pay for a second generator.

Being a photographer/storm chaser, I sometimes have to leave my gear (several thousand dollars worth) in the vehicle when I dont really want to. While everything is insured, Id rather not come back to find it smash and grabbed and have to deal with replacing it. So this year I bought Pelican cases (which are super strong) and this cable, as well as a couple of locks. This this is really thick! What I do is run this cable down around the factory seat mounts (these are made to withstand crash forces) and then put the ends into the locks I put on the Pelican cases. Sure, if someone had enough time and could make enough noise, they could probably eventually either cut the cable, the locks or the lock place on the cases. But the intent here is to prevent any smash and grabs when I HAVE to leave the gear in when I go in a store or something. I think this will work perfectly for that scenario, and give me some peace of mind. Its all about making it harder for someone to grab your stuff, so they move on to the next car.

This is just a simple braided cable so there isnt much to describe, but it is well assembled and looks professionally made. We are using it as a poor mans cable lock in the back of a pick-up truck rather than pay the dealer a few hundred dollars for the same thing. For that, it works perfectly and coils up nicely under the seat when not being used. The plastic wrap around the cable makes it much nicer than bare cable. It was a good deal from amazon.

No complaints whatsoever. I carry in my backpack and its not too heavy but with good security.

The cable is long enough to lock at least 4 bikes together. It winds up nice to be able to stow in the bike bag or backpack. Weve used this to lock our kayaks to our truck as well.
