> 3 dayIf you have an old keyboard or mouse, this should be perfect

> 3 dayIf a passive adaptor did not work for you, this active converter should. I have a HP15 notebook (laptop bought in 2016) & wanted to connect an external keyboard that was over 10 years old. I understand some newer keyboards/computers may work with the passive adaptor, but the active converter has a chip in it.

> 3 dayIf you are using your keyboard for just typing and data entering type things, it works great. If you are using your keyboard for gaming things, then it works horribly. When gaming it seems to lose connection or reset. Example, using a key like w key to move forward, it will stop working and have to repress the key to have it work. And that happens every 5-15 seconds. Sooo less than ideal to say the least. But if you are typing something such as this, then that reset has no effect, since im not holding a key down for longer than a second. Anyway, just some info.

> 3 dayNot much to say. It worked to connect a keyboard with a PS/2 connector to a USB socket on the motherboard.

> 3 dayWorks great for what I want and it wont be unplugged and plugged again and again, however, the plastic of the ps2 plugs is already looking roughed up after about eight or ten cycles of being moved. As I said, in a mostly stationary application no prob (esp for the price) however if you plan of moving it a lot maybe not so tough...

Greater than one weekIm a tech writer and use IBM Model 50 keyboards exclusively. The Model 50s use PS/2 connectors, which are becoming increasingly rare on modern computers. Enter the Perixx PS2 to USB adapter. These things work great. You plug the PS/2 connector into the keyboard cable, then plug the USB plug into the PC and youre on the air. Ive used them with several different desktops, workstations, and laptops and have had no problems with them. They work every time. Highly recommended.

09-06-2025I have an old IBM style keyboard with loud keys from the early 90s that I successfully hooked up to a new laptop using this cable. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that it worked with no issues. I havent dug up an old PS/2 mouse yet, but Ill have to try that at some point.

> 3 dayI used the adapter for a 2 port KVM switch with PS2 connectors for one of the computers. I went through 2 keyboards and a mouse before I found a third pair that would work. The keyboard that worked was a Inland brand from Microcenter and the mouse was generic. I adapter works well once the right keyboard and mouse were found. I gave it four stars because of the trouble making it work.

Greater than one weekNeeded this converter from PS2 to USB in order for my wifes keyboard to work. It now works fine. Did not need the mouse adapter.
