Why its a good upgrade! If like me you are currently rocking a standard hard drive, this upgrade has the ability to help you avoid a costly purchase of a new lap top. Currently the owner of a 2011 Macbook pro, and although the updates to OSX have been great they arent friendly to mechanical drives due to the amount of data that needs to be accessed and pushed through the system. Things to you need. Just buy a SATA to usb cable to clone the old drive to the new and install as per your device. Final word If you have a fairly recent processor your lack of speed in your laptop may not just be based on current hard drive or software. iThis appearance of lack there of, could also be a the by product that almost all other devices we interact today are based on some type of flash memory. So why not have the same in your laptop!

I have purchased two of these drives and have had great success with them. The boot up is FAST and neither one of them have failed. Be aware that they dont come with any SATA cables. It is just the drive and software. Great product!

Ive had this SSD installed on my laptop for about 3 months now. What an improvement it has made on my PC! First off, boot time is about 30 seconds. Before, I had to wait about 5 minutes before my internet browser was completely loaded. My laptop is about 5 years old but it feels brand new. I did a fresh install of windows 7. Im so glad I made the purchase. Highly recommend.

So far very impressed. Was always skeptical of the price compared to spinning drives. But the speed is amazing, To install 7 would take up to 45 minutes. With this drive it installed in 10 minutes. As the install updates it is so fast. Love it.
