After not working and over 4 hours with 3 different techs. I returned and bought Ring

We left for an time the day after our SimpliSafe arrived. I attached the door sensors and the motion detectors, and set the system up. Tested, and everything worked as it should. Came home after our trip, put in our code, and all was well. We set it every night, and just feel more secure with it activated. I need to finish with tech to set up the dispatch notification, but other than that, all good. I did get heavier Velcro for the control panel, which works just fine.

Do not buy if you want push notifications on your phone without paying a subscription. The fact that you have to pay to unlock notifications is crooked. I ordered a Konnected kit to use my existing wired sensors with Smart things and Alexa; and the notifications are free. SimpliSafe wants to charge over $200 for the kit, and an extra $120 a year just for push notifications. I repeat, thats over $300 in one year JUST to get push notifications. Such a scam.

Great customer support (I had a small problem that CS promptly helped me with, easy set up, convenient and so easy to use - I like the phone apps too .

They advertise that you can still use the system without a monitoring subscription but as soon as I canceled the service my cameras no longer worked on the app or website. I tried to set them up on a new account with no monitoring plan but it wouldnt let me because they were tied to another account. I could not unlink them from my account because Simplisafe could not reach them. Ive tried everything but the cameras are just paper weights now.

Customer service is over an hour wait to talk to someone once your a customer. Alarm just random goes off when it’s not set

System is exactly as advertised. Easy to install and easy to add on. Instructions werent too clear on the test signal but otherwise Im very happy with this purchase.

Buyer beware! Here’s my last email I had to send SS. They aren’t t reliable. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had suspicious activity and SimpliSafe has let me down! I’m giving you 24 hours to respond -appropriately - or in posting this to every SimpliSafe review site I can find as well as social media. I want an actual fix that works. I want an entire system that if it loses a WiFi or cellular signal, will actively attempt to reconnect until it is reconnected. I want email and app notifications when a camera for whatever reason cannot reconnect. I want a camera that both streams and records. If you can’t give me this real soon, I want you to send me a box with a shipping label and a full refund for all my purchases. Last night someone covered my front lawn with advertising signs. All my other WiFi devices were online but not the SimpliSafe cameras. All three cameras were offline during the night and captured none of it. I would press charges but because of SimpliSafe, I have no evidence! Several weekends ago, a strange man came ringing our doorbell. The SimpliSafe camera initially detected motion but eouldnt show me the live video but the doorbell rang. He stood there over 5 minutes. I was driving home trying to get there fast enough. Eventually the camera came on so I could watch but it didn’t record because it can’t record and steam at the same time.

I purchased this direct from Simplisafe. They dont make it easy to put reviews on their site. Find an alternative DIY alarm system. Their system only allows for a single app user, which is very short sited. Only the administrator can use the app to arm/disarm the alarm. All others must use their pin. Im not aware of any other alarm systems that have such a short sighted limitation. The ONLY good thing about Simplisafe is that it is somewhat easy to set up without professional installation.
