Trying to sinc the cameral took more than two hours and never worked. DONT BUY THIS!!!

I purchased the indoor video camera, door lock, video doorbell, and main station at Best Buy. I have high speed ( 900mps) WiFi with boosters around house for very solid signals. Video camera #1 defective and would not set up. A replacement was sent and didnt work at all. The 3rd replacement was not tried as I returned the system. Video doorbell had great video and you could hear outside conversation but responding audio didnt work. Support said its a known issue. Replacement doorbell #1 didnt work at all. Replacement #2 had same audio issue. when you respond to conversation it was totally garbled. The base station required an upgrade and was sent. but they said I had to join monitoring to get the new download to connect. Using the free trial it connected but nothing else improved. Day 58 of my 60-day return option saw the system returned. The smart lock did work and I really liked it plus it was an excellent value. Too bad nothing else worked. 100% of customer service people were nice and helpful but quality control is their main issue. I could not risk keeping past the refund period. I have used Ring at a friends home and it worked great. Thought this could be a lower cost, more complete option.

I put this thing up as well as set up a few fobs in about 30 minutes, it was amazing. I love all the options and so far the app is good (I cannot remember ever seeing an app in the App Store with so many 5 star reviews). For the price it’s a good value and so is the basic monitoring. Packaging was very millenial … you will understand when you open it.

So far no complaints only praises for this product. We had ADT once before and with all the sales gimmicks and hidden costs, we didn’t want to go down that road again. This system is very simple to install and use. Love the integrated app. I would definitely recommend this product.

Requires activation of monthly service. Cannot operate camera with system to see who entered during a burglary if not activated. The alarm will go off if someone enters but there will be no pictures and the authorities will not be notified. Also, when my system was triggered (twice) during the free evaluation period, the authorities were not notified. The first time, I called SimpliSafe and they helped me remove the red light state of the base station. The second time, the red light went off by itself after about 24 hours. Also, it announces every time you disarm it that there is No link to dispatch center.

So this is a very cool, easy to install system. I didnt really want 24/7 monitoring so this seemed like a good fit. The problem that made me return it is that without the monitoring you cant even use the pp on your phone to arm or disarm. That means that it is a glorified very expensive door chime. There are much better door chimes for much less money, sorry simplisafe but you were just not cool about this while thing. If I could have armed and disarmed and monitor on my phone I would have kept it..

Theres a simply safe package on Amazon that includes a camera for less money than this package. Keep looking before you buy this one.

It works great and was easy to set up but the adhesive on my parts failed and ended up falling off my doors so I used gorilla glue! And a huge concern.. my alarm went off and no one called me!!!! No email either. I’m paying for the 24hr monitor plan.. so I’m guessing that isn’t true?

I like everything about the system. Ease of setup, ease of use couldnt be better. The system looks good and functions well.
