> 3 dayReceived my Webroot PC security disc as promised It installed easily and at this point in time works seamlessly with my windows operating system. It also seems to have a smaller footprint and my system seems to be working faster then the antivirus software I had been using. I will soon be upgrading to windows 10 so the jury is out how it will work with the upgrade but at this time I am very pleased with my order and Webroot security 2015

Greater than one week(Update Below) Wish I saw this on youtube before I bought this program. Web-Root Secure Anywhere Review (Removal & Zero-Day) by DehHaxor4evr. It was easy to install. It found about 150 problems/viruses/malware on my computer after the Iolo Mechanic Pro. (We dont use the Iolo for virus, but maintain the computer in other ways, but we ran it first and it only found 7 viruses). After we saw the review video above on Webroot. we found out about Malware-bytes. We bought it, and it arrived on same day that web root did. After web root ran the computer, Malware-bytes found almost 600 malware/virus/problems. This was right after webroot, and it was installed. We left web root on the computer, due to Malware-byte runs with other virus programs. Figure already bought it, and cant hurt to have two programs protecting the computer. But we probably wont renew it when the year runs out. Renewal time. They want $79 for first year of renewal, and $50 for 2nd year. If you contact them on their web site it states must accept Cookies a security program that wants cookies be allowed. It did allow my note be submitted w/o allowing the cookies. But why ask? We will be deleting this program, and keeping Malwarebytes, which is a much better program. Several times a day this program has been putting up Need to renew soon links on the screen. Bye Bye program. Removing soon. We changed it from 2 star to 1 star. I had sent an email to them to find out why no deal for renewal for loyal customers. Got a Reply (That I could not reply to) that said the email was a system automatic and it did not know of deals, and need to call to get a deal. This is hoping most customers will just pay the price, next it was not an email, but the program itself giving a link, then ph calls to get a deal? That is Phishing in a way to get you to call and get a hard sell. This is the first software company that does not give a proper link to a good deal for renewal in the last couple years of programs that I have updated. Malwarebytes was 1/2 price for renewal, and does everything and more than this program does, and Malwarebytes is not identified by this program as a 2nd security program.

> 3 dayThis operates seamlessly in the background. Non-intrusive. The absolute best customer service for anti-virus Ive ever experienced. This was a renewal, so CD took me to internet to renew. Very fast and easy. Program includes permanent erase, which is a nice feature, and also works friendly with other anti-virus installed. Unlike some anti-virus programs that operate in the cloud, this one allows you to scan your files or computer without having to be connected to the Internet, even though overall the anti-virus works from the cloud. I dont know who created this program (so many are from other countries), but I like that its based in Colorado instead of a foreign nation.

> 3 daySeems to do what its supposed to do. Bought it at a substantial discount. There are features that allow you to store things on a remote server aka cloud. I am wondering if when it is time to renew, I will be able to get a sale price again or will my remotely stored files be held for ransom if I dont pay MSRP.

> 3 daySlower than my previous software (Norton). I should have stick with Norton. WEBROOT is a very suspicious security software scam. Never once has it find and remove even a single virus which is very unusual even with the best of the best security software. I dont trust WEBROOT. Stay away from it. Highly suspicious to be a scam. In addition my, computer is now slower. Im going to pay for Norton and override this crap even though my subscription is still about ten months to expire.

> 3 dayI bought this product after reviewers from several different sources said it was the best. Two weeks after installing it my computer it was taken over by the DNS Unlocker virus. Not only did this Webroot software not detect it, it couldn’t quarantine or repair it. Thankfully, I was able to get rid of it using the instructions from the Microsoft Community postings. I have been using computers since the 1980’s and have installed many different brands of antivirus software and this is the first such problem I have ever had. I guess this is lesson learned and time to move to something else. Update: About 10 minutes after posting my review, James Garcia of Webroot posted his comment. To no surprise, they blame the consumer saying the virus that infected my computer is “a potentially unwanted application that is always installed by user consent”. He then goes on to say that “Anytime that you think you are infected, it is best to reach out to our support team for assistance. They can remote in and resolve issues such as this free of charge”. First, thanks for the rapid response, even if it just to blame me and attempt to do damage control. Second, your company claims that their product (and I quote) “Webroot Internet Security Complete 2016 provides real-time protection for PCs, Macs and your Android/iOS devices, blocking viruses, malware, phishing attacks and identity theft”. So why doesn’t the software intervene and quarantine the problem or at least warn the user this is occurring? Why should I have to wait to have my equipment to become infected and then it be MY responsibility to contact you for help? Third, according to Microsoft, “Computer viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation”, so your company’s stand that the DNS Unlocker is NOT a virus is invalid (at best). If you feel this is inaccurate, please feel free to argue with Bill Gates. Lastly, I’m not asking your company for anything, except to get what I already paid for. I will not recommend your product to anyone.

> 3 dayI purchased this software on October 20, i.e. a bit more than a month ago. When I first installed the software, I had specifically formatted my hard disk to assure that Id install the security software on a clean hard disk. While the installation of Webroot proved to be easy and quick, I sensed that my browser(s) was loading dreadfully slowly. Analog phone-line pace. Customarily I only use one browser, but I installed a couple of different ones in an attempt to determine whether the slow loading was browser-specific. It made no difference. I contacted the developer and received a brief answer after a few days (Id hate to have an emergency): uninstall and reinstall. Initially, that simple instruction worked. Now, a couple of weeks later, Im back to the slow-loading of the browsers. To be transparent, I run Windows 7 Ultra and have only productivity software (MS Office 2010) installed on my computer. No games, no pictures, no music. At this point, Im annoyed with the security software; while it has kept my computer safe, it slows me down tremendously in my work. The period to return the software has expired. Moreover, I note that Amazon is now selling the same precise version for $22.00 less than I paid in October. Not pleased about that either. I will in likelihood return to the new version of the security software I used in previous years. This experiment has failed.
