> 24 hourThis is a great monitor for office use and watching videos. The colors are bold, and the IPS panel is a great improvement from standard LCDs. The height adjustment is particularly useful. All adjustments feel solid and the monitor construction is attractive and high quality. There are no dead pixels or crosshatching. Includes DisplayPort and VGA cables. Includes USB cable for the two port USB 3.0 hub on the monitor. If you need a DVI cable or a miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, buy it separately.

> 24 hourI personally bought this monitor because I already had owned a 22 Dell monitor with the same rotating structure and I found it really useful for programming. I am currently using the Display Port output which is connected to my GTX 970. This monitor doesnt have HDMI, which I didnt care since Display Port is better, but may matter for someone else. It is definitely not the best option out there as far as monitors. Need an IPS 4K monitor? Look somewhere else. Need a rugged 1080p monitor that you can rotate the screen? Then get this.

> 24 hourJust as good as new. Needed an additional monitor for work and this is perfect. Much less strain on my eyes.

> 24 hourIm not gaming, so I cant comment on refresh time (keeps up with Microsoft Office just fine!), but I got what I expected and hoped for: Nice Dell packaging and setup instructions and a monitor that simply worked just fine. My application was to have a larger screen for a family member who requires magnification because of vision limitations. This monitor will be helpful, and I felt the price was good. Its also nice that the monitor can rotate into portrait orientation.

> 24 hourI bought the P2414H to use it as an office monitor. The monitor has an elegant design, its easy on the eyes (after I calibrated it to my taste), text is clear and easy to read, power consumption is low, the menu is well thought out, etc.. Overall, this is an excellent monitor for the money. My only gripe is with color rendition of IPS technology in general. This is my second IPS monitor for past three years (after the HP ZR24W, which was considered a good monitor back in 2011). Despite spending hours calibrating colors and brightness, both IPS monitors have worse color reproduction than the 24 Dell UltraSharp monitor that Ive had at home since ... 2007 (and that monitor is/was supposedly in the same class as these newer monitors). Still, considering the available choices, the P2414H is excellent.

> 24 hourPerfect size for desktop use. Plenty big and yet not so large as to make you constantly have to turn your head to view. Excellent brightness control and color is perfect as far as I can see. No flickering or image problems at all. I have used larger screens and they were just too massive for me. All cables thread through post if you like. USB ports work as expected, of course I would like more, but there are enough. I highly recommend this monitor for desktop/keyboard set ups.

> 24 hourI like the portrait and landscape orientation possible. And the stand. It can be adjusted quite high up if desired and easily. Its spring loaded so you just slide it up or down to your desired height. The colors are very good. This is replacing an HP 23xi which has great color, but burned out after 2 years. I hope this one lasts longer. Using it for photo editing and general purpose things. Mine came with 4 cords: HDMI, VGA, DVI, Power cord. Nice. Im currently using it with the DVI connector and alls well.

> 24 hourNot the cheapest 24 you can buy. I did some research and came across a few nice reviews which were quite thorough. One in particular from the UK. Quite a thorough review. Well reviewed. What I like about this unit is the matte finish on the screen so reduced glare and the aluminum base styling. Needs to have a HDMI input but this is easily gotten around. Not sure why they provided every input but a HDMI. Now I hope it lasts a long time for the money I paid for it.

> 24 hourI bought three of these for a multi-monitor setup with my early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15, and it works beautifully. For those interested, I believe you need the higher end MBPr models that come equipped with discreet (internal) Nvidia graphics card, so you may have issues with the 13 or non-Retina models. My setup was: 1 HDMI to DisplayPort and 2 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Details matter: most 2013+ era MacBook Pros use Mini DisplayPort connections (e.g. Thunderbolt) on the notebook (*not* full size DisplayPort). I opted for 6 Better Cables brand cables purchased from Amazon, but you could also use: 1 HDMI to DVI-D single link (not dual link, and not plain DVI) and: 2 Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt compatible) to DisplayPort (not Mini) If you have a Thunderbolt hub, youll need a MB with 2 Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt connections, because hubs will take one of your Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt plugs and you cant use both the hub HDMI and hub MDP/TB plugs simultaneously. Lastly, do your testing with the Macbook Pros lid opened and plugged in. Reboot at least once before futzing with sleep mode, as this can cause weirdness (especially if youve got USB keyboard/mouse plugged into a hub -- they might not wake up).

> 24 hourWith all of the monitors out there today, its hard to tell the good from the bad without performing extensive research. This research needs to be combined with a bit of luck as it would be cost prohibitive for every site to cover the full product line from multiple manufacturers. The monitor that was replaced by the Dell P2014H was a 23 LG with an IPS panel. My prior effort to use a HP w2071d to achieve the desired resolution for a budget computer system resulted in excessive visual fatigue that would be exacerbated when dark images would appear. The backlighting on that 20 inch monitor was abysmal. My priorities for the display were: 1.) IPS panel 2.) 1600x900 resolution 3.) Digital input The Dell P2014H appeared to be the best of breed based on the aforementioned criteria. The overall image quality and performance is absolutely fantastic, especially at the price point that Amazon sells it for. On top of a solid image with fairly balanced backlighting (tad bit lighter in the lower right-hand corner, but not distracting or outside of expectations in this range), you get additional features that come in handy: 1.) Integrated USB hub: Using an AmazonBasics keyboard, the integrated USB cord was a bit too short for the placement of the mid-tower. Running the keyboard through the integrated hub resolved this issue, and made it easier to connect additional peripherals. 2.) Rotating display: While it would be nice to have an accelerometer or gyroscope to allow the monitor to auto-trigger the shift from portrait to landscape format, two clicks of the mouse and a quick 90 degree rotation of the monitor completely changes the dynamic of viewing websites, reading long documents, and even developing websites. The text is crisp and the mechanics of rotating the monitor results in a smooth and effortless adjustment. 3.) Adjustable height. The Dell engineers have built a solid and user-friendly stand that permits modification on the fly. Monitors that cost more than the P2014H are normally bound to a fixed stand and may result in discomfort of the neck during extended use. Be sure to download the latest utilities and drivers from Dells site to further optimize the image quality and power consumption of this display.
