> 24 hourWe have used the Infant Optics DXR-8 for over 2 years. The image is great, including in darkness. We started having trouble with the monitor holding a charge a few months after using it. Then the monitor was making clicking sounds. After contacting customer support, they were able to walk me through readjusting the monitor battery. Since then, the monitor has held a charge fine. Also, after much support, it was determined that my camera was the source of the clicking that we were hearing from the monitor. Customer support was great! Even though I was about 2 years past my warranty, they replaced my camera, so it is no longer making the clicking sound. They went the extra mile to keep me as a customer, and I greatly appreciated that level of care.

> 24 hourThis is a great baby monitor and the customer service provided is outstanding. I was unaware that the LEDs that provided night vision were not working on my camera until after the warranty had expired. After reaching out to customer service, they helped me troubleshoot the issue and when it couldn’t be fixed, they helped me to get a new camera. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. Pros: -great night vision - zoom capability - stand alone monitor that is not connected to WiFi - ability to turn off screen but still hear sound - great sound and picture quality - great customer service Cons: - occasional loss of signal when streaming videos over WiFi - limited range between camera and monitor - does not filter out white noise

> 24 hourWe bought this monitor to replace a cheaper one that we absolutely hate. I was seeking a monitor that had clear picture and sound but also that allowed the screen brightness to dim or brighten as I like leaving the monitor on at night but hate how bright they are. I also needed a monitor that could show the whole darn crib. Our old one had a cord that was too short to raise the camera any further so there was no way to capture the entire crib. Seriously? So, needless to say, this one is a major and drastic improvement. I appreciate the large screen size, the ability to switch to different cameras, the ease of turning up and down the volume, the scan feature, the long length of the camera cord, and the ability to change screen brightness.

> 24 hourOur old monitors (Summer Infant Touch) were humming loudly and getting irritating. Having 3 kids in 3 separate rooms, we needed to replace the monitors and didnt want the hassle of dealing with multiple monitors like we had done for the past few years. The DXR-8s scan mode allows us to have an individual camera in each room sending a video and audio feed to a single monitor for us to monitor. It is so convenient. The scan mode rotates between rooms throughout the night and gives us peace of mind. The shortcut button is also wonderful for quick adjustments during the middle of the night. The picture quality is great and the audio is clear--plus there is little feedback! We are certainly pleased with our new purchase, which we made after a considerable amount of research. We see now why the DXR-8 received such great reviews from so many reviewers and websites.

> 24 hourI love that this is a closed loop, non-hackable system. Picture quality is great! I have been able to add cameras on as our family grows. The real factor that takes infant optics to the next level is their customer service! After about 18 months, our signal was dropping a lot and after emailing customer service, Gladys R was all over it!! Provided lots of step by step troubleshooting and frequently checked in to see how these tips were/weren’t working. There was small improvement but not great. She jumped all over coordinating the return of my monitor and sending me a new one without question. I already was happy with the product but the customer service has made me a customer for life and I’ve recommended and bought for my friends numerous times!

> 24 hourUPDATE! My love of this camera has slowly and steadily been going downhill. The original charger(which has now been redesigned to solve the issue) would fall out of the port and wouldn’t charge unless I plugged and propped it up with other items to get the perfect angle. I did receive a new parent screen and the updated charger at no cost but it was a pain to be without any monitor for 3-5 days when kids are on another floor. They couldn’t mail it until they received mine. My newest issue is battery life. It would be plugged in and just shut off! I ordered a new battery, followed all of the at home fixes and it is still happening. Seems the problem is when I have it flipping from one of room to another it can’t keep up and just shuts down. If I keep it on only one room all night it stays on. So what’s the purpose of that feature and being able to have up to four cameras? Also, the night vision used to be excellent but now only works in one room, it’s super grainy in the other room to the point that I’m just using it for sound not video. I was so hopeful in this product and sold so many friends on it I’m embarrassed. I am way too invested financially to switch now so we are just riding it out. I now have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old that share a room(night vision doesn’t work in there daytime is great but I don’t need it for daytime) and an 8 month old in his own room but I have to just listen for his cry since I can’t toggle at night. Blah! I researched SO many cameras. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this and love that you can link up to 4. They have been perfect for our 2 1/2 yr old and 7 1/2 mo old!

> 24 hourI was so excited to get this monitor. I am a new grandmother and didnt know what to expect with a monitor today but comparing this to the ones when my children were little is like night and day. Not only can I see the baby, I am alerted by sound when she wakes up or is beginning to wake. So nice to know the DXR-8 is on the job night or day. It is peace of mind for me to know what is going on with the baby at any time. It has many nice features and is easy to operate, I even bought another camera to connect to the system for a new baby sister coming. So nice to use in a playroom also, for those quick trips out of the room to answer the door etc. Everyone should have at least one of these in there home!

> 24 hourWe bought 2 of these. 1 for our now 4yo and the other for our now 2yo. The 4yo camera just stopped turning to one side. Its not binding its just not going. The microphone on the 2yo one 90% failed a month ago. They are decent when working but who wants to keep replacing?

> 24 hourThis camera was perfect for our first kid! However, it’s not ideal for two kids. We bought the extra camera, and connecting to the monitor was very easy. The part that I don’t like is the “scan” feature which is supposed to go back and forth between the kids room and it does just that but not all the time. I’ll set it on scan when I put our kids to bed, and an hour later it will stop scanning and just stay on whichever room it was on. I found this out the hard way when I couldn’t hear my new baby crying cause the “scan” was stuck on my toddlers room. It will still say it’s in scan, but it’s not scanning. So before I go to bed I have to just put it on the babies room. Thankfully 99% of the time my toddler sleeps through the night. It’s annoying that it doesn’t scan all the time. If I would have know this I would of bought a split screen monitor system.

> 24 hourInfant Optics is the best in customer service! I got this baby monitor as a gift for my shower after putting it on my registry based on the reviews. I used it for a little over a year (and loved it!) before the night vision on the camera unit stopped working. I was frustrated because I was just about to buy a second camera unit to use for my second child. I emailed support to help me troubleshoot the issue, and after trying various solutions, nothing had worked. We realized that it wasn’t something I could fix from home, but I was out of the warranty period. Even so, they offered to replace my camera unit (at no cost to me) as a courtesy. The customer service agent was super accommodating and the interaction was very positive. I would definitely recommend their products to everyone!
