Greater than one weekI personally thought pokemon did a bad job previously with ds games, diamond/pearl were okay but I was disappointed with heart gold, but X and Y were pretty good but they stepped it up in these games. Great graphics, I love the storyline of sapphire and overall they did a great job on this game. Ive been a huge pokemon game fan for 12 years and Im telling you that youll be happy with this purchase. If you liked the GBA version of these games, youll really enjoy these new ones. If not message me and Ill buy your omega ruby if you dont like it.

> 3 dayA great remake of the famous third generation Pokemon games. While I have tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, there are a few mild, spoilers below. Nothing plot-ruining, but nonetheless spoilers. Pros ~New overworld graphics ~New moves and move graphics ~Can have both bikes ~New mega-evolutions ~Delta episode ~New and updated NPC text ~Tie-ins to XY and Mega-Evolutions ~Contests ~New Surfing abilities ~Soaring in the Sky Cons ~Double battles and horde battles not in 3D ~No character customization -The Delta Episode is a playable instance after you have beat the Elite Four, and is seemingly the spiritual successor to Pokemon Emerald. It has a never before seen story that helps fill in the background of Mega-Evolution. It allows you to catch Rayquaza and Deoxys. -Contests make a return in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. They are optional and have their own small story line. -Several old characters are fleshed out. May/Brendan become more like teenager girls/boys than a stiff uncaring NPC. Steven Stones history and personal life is told in greater detail, giving us a better look into the Hoenn Champions mind. The leaders and admins of Team Aqua/Magma have distinct personalities and stories that are both intriguing and appealing. We learn a little bit more about Wallace, the gym leader of Sootopolis City and his connection to the Cave of Origins and Rayquazas Tower. Wally becomes an interesting character instead of a tedious side note. -Once you meet Latios/Latias and recieve the Eon Flute you can call upon one of them to ride anywhere in Hoenn. We have all wished to have an actual flying mechanic in the Pokemon games and now we have it. -A lot of the legendary Pokemon can be unlocked and captured through mysterious portals. There is a lot more to say and not much time or space to say it. All in all Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, are in my opinion, one of the if not the best Pokemon games ever made. It is a beautiful remake, with both new and recurring mechanics that blend together into a game that entices both the old Pokemon players and the new. It is both fresh and nostalgic allowing for tons of hours of play-through even for those who played the originals (I put over 500 hours into Pokemon Emerald over the years, in the past few weeks I have already put over 50 hours into Alpha Sapphire and intend to put a lot more).

> 3 dayI gave it four starts since this is a product review. Item is in good condition, shipping was on time and item came on time. Now for the Game Review..... I did not find this game as immersive as Pokemon x and y. No character customization (not even skin and hair tones), which is a really big disappointment for me and makes the game less enjoyable. The adventures/quests were too easy and not really that immersive. The random encounters happen less often which is nice and not that annoying however I hate always encountering the same Pokemon, so far its not as diverse or random as X and Y, so there really wasnt that much Pokemon to catch or that I wanted to catch. The reason why I compare this game to X and Y is because I expected a lot more from Alpha Sapphire since it is newer but when I played the game it seemed less advanced. Pros: -Less random encounters -New/ Different NPCs -Pokemon Cosplay (Have not tried it yet) -Completely different map -More convenience looking at map, Pokemon, etc Cons: -Short adventures -Same Pokemon encounters -No Customization on Trainer -Easy Pokemon battles and Quests If this were a game review I would give it 3 stars. Overall its ok, not too boring but not addictive. In my opinion the game developers did not give it their all in making this game, I feel like they were just being lazy in making this game by taking away all those nice features that X and Y have, I understand that each Pokemon game should be different however they can still do so much more with Alpha Sapphire it really is a shame and a waste of money :( Hope moon and sun is a lot better.

> 3 dayUsually I am not a huge fan of remakes, but I did not buy a 3DS for a very long time and I missed out on a lot of the new games. Long ago, I had a copy of ruby for my gameboy SP and I lost it somewhere when I was just 3 away from catching them all. I got this on a whim because I read online that between the new Ruby/Sapphire and X/Y you can catch everything with only one generations worth of games. That and the addition of the online trading made this the perfect game to finally fulfill my childhood fantasy of catching them all. It only took me 15 years to do it!

> 3 dayit arrived a little early and in perfect condition. My son says its a little harder to get started w the game, but hes a newer gamer and young. So take that w a grain of salt. He also got a new playing system (the 3ds vs the 2ds) at the same time.

> 3 dayI know this review is a few years late, however, as the saying goes better late than never eh? Pokemon Alpha Sapphire is a great game. I was amongst those who rushed through the game on his first playthrough so that I could get to the end game content and start breeding for competitive play. After all, I had played through the original Generation 3 games a myriad of times and there could only be so many things different with this remaster right? Well after rushing through the game, I started over and took my time and enjoyed the game. It was much better that way. Trying to catch all the Pokemon in any given area, raising up all the Pokemon I like etc. I really enjoy the DexNav and DexNav Shiny Chain hunting. Its not perfect though, and sometimes it will constantly tell you that the Pokemon you are searching for cannot be found and to search in another spot. Even if youve been chaining that Pokemon 50 times before this in succession. Its kinda annoying and even more so when you search the entire area and the DexNav doesnt find it. I really like O-Powers and the Battle Resort. It makes Masuda Method breeding really easy. And EV training in this game is great as well and its really cool how you can reset Pokemons EVs easily and Hyper Training is awesome. The GTS... overall is terrible. Most players are jack wagons who ask for legendary Pokemon like Celebi and Mew for their level 4 Hoppip and Sunkern so its not really of much use when trying to complete your Pokedex, however, this is of no fault of the developers. Overall I love this game. Even when Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon come out, I will still be playing it. I prefer EV training in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby versus Sun and Moon.

10-06-2025As always, Pokemon continues to deliver. It doesnt simply take the original Sapphire and revamp the graphics; it adds new game mechanics, plotline, and characters. However, they really dropped the ball with the berries. In the original, all the different types of berry trees had unique sprites; in Alpha Sapphire, all the berry trees look the same. As someone who loved doing berry routes in the original game, this was a huge disappointment. In general, nostalgia made the game less enjoyable, as I was constantly comparing it to the original. Other than that, the game was great and I would definitely recommend it.

> 3 dayI loved it! I owned the original Pokemon Sapphire as well, so I recognized that the opening credits was a revamp of the original opening, and it was done beautifully! I admit, I have not progressed very far in the game, but so far this remake of the Hoenn region has only improved on the many things that I loved about the original, especially the graphics. Wow! It was crazy to finally see everyones faces outside of battles! Pokemon has really changed in the past years, but Im glad that they have.

> 3 dayIts no secret that Nintendo and Game Freak had a lot to live up to when they choose to remake the iconic generation 3 highlights. Thankfully, they not only updated the original games but enhanced them with the conveniences of more modern Pokemon titles. There are abundant secrets and places to explore that make this game a fantastic journey throughout. Pros: - Soaring through the skies on that back of the Latis is ridiculously fun and entertaining. - The Hoenn region has been faithfully recreated and looks absolutely stunning. - The Delta Episode, while short, is quite entertaining and helps wrap the main story up. - Many Pokemon from other regions make their appearance across Hoenn after the National Dex is unlocked. - Beautifully orchestrated music that stays faithful to the original. Cons: - The post-game is somewhat lacking, with the Battle Frontier from Emerald not appearing. - The game can be a little repetitive at times, especially near the mid game. - Overuse of HMs can be tedious at times. I wholeheartedly recommend you take a look at these games if you are a fan of the originals, and even if you are new the Pokemon crowd; Its a blast either way.

> 3 dayThis game is just plain fun. It is evocative of the old game which it honours and kept everything that made it great. Its wonderful to be able to go and make a secret base again, and to have fun with the contests, and pick berries (although the repetitive unskippable dialogs for some of these things make it tedious sometimes, but that is a problem with pokemon games in general, and a rather minor one). It is incredibly fun to explore Hoenn again and the new mechanics such as Mega-evolution and wonder trade are very fun. There is plenty to do, and, take this as you will, you dont realise just how long youve been playing until you check the clock. Pokemon earned their five stars on this one.
