> 3 dayI know this review is a few years late, however, as the saying goes better late than never eh? Pokemon Alpha Sapphire is a great game. I was amongst those who rushed through the game on his first playthrough so that I could get to the end game content and start breeding for competitive play. After all, I had played through the original Generation 3 games a myriad of times and there could only be so many things different with this remaster right? Well after rushing through the game, I started over and took my time and enjoyed the game. It was much better that way. Trying to catch all the Pokemon in any given area, raising up all the Pokemon I like etc. I really enjoy the DexNav and DexNav Shiny Chain hunting. Its not perfect though, and sometimes it will constantly tell you that the Pokemon you are searching for cannot be found and to search in another spot. Even if youve been chaining that Pokemon 50 times before this in succession. Its kinda annoying and even more so when you search the entire area and the DexNav doesnt find it. I really like O-Powers and the Battle Resort. It makes Masuda Method breeding really easy. And EV training in this game is great as well and its really cool how you can reset Pokemons EVs easily and Hyper Training is awesome. The GTS... overall is terrible. Most players are jack wagons who ask for legendary Pokemon like Celebi and Mew for their level 4 Hoppip and Sunkern so its not really of much use when trying to complete your Pokedex, however, this is of no fault of the developers. Overall I love this game. Even when Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon come out, I will still be playing it. I prefer EV training in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby versus Sun and Moon.

> 3 dayIts no secret that Nintendo and Game Freak had a lot to live up to when they choose to remake the iconic generation 3 highlights. Thankfully, they not only updated the original games but enhanced them with the conveniences of more modern Pokemon titles. There are abundant secrets and places to explore that make this game a fantastic journey throughout. Pros: - Soaring through the skies on that back of the Latis is ridiculously fun and entertaining. - The Hoenn region has been faithfully recreated and looks absolutely stunning. - The Delta Episode, while short, is quite entertaining and helps wrap the main story up. - Many Pokemon from other regions make their appearance across Hoenn after the National Dex is unlocked. - Beautifully orchestrated music that stays faithful to the original. Cons: - The post-game is somewhat lacking, with the Battle Frontier from Emerald not appearing. - The game can be a little repetitive at times, especially near the mid game. - Overuse of HMs can be tedious at times. I wholeheartedly recommend you take a look at these games if you are a fan of the originals, and even if you are new the Pokemon crowd; Its a blast either way.

Greater than one weekThis game is for the most part an excellent remake for an old favorite of mine. The only real issue I have is the particular feature of Dex nav which is a feature that tracks wild Pokemon on given routes. The biggest problem with this is that it can bring in may be about 10 levels higher then the others in the area, for earlier players this can be catastrophic to have to face and for me personally the Pokemon in those given circumstances have cost me half my team to bring just one down. That being said the higher levels are typically a lot more rare and youre usually notified when your target is one. Again I love this game and do recomend

Greater than one weekIm a longtime Pokemon fan. I still own my original GBA copies of Ruby and Emerald. The reason I bought Alpha Sapphire is because I originally played Ruby and wanted to try something different this time. Its great seeing Hoenn remastered in 3D. For anyone whos played pokemon, the concept is still the same. Start off in your hometown, get your 1st pokemon from a pokemon professor, start your journey to become pokemon league champion, get a rival, beat some gyms, couple sidequests along the way, beat the elite four, become champion, and enjoy post-game (or start over). Yet for some reason, I cant help myself but to buy into it year after year. Ill make this review short by outlining some key things to consider before buying this game. - No battle frontier - No character customization like in X/Y - Lots of legendary pokemon to catch post-game - Nostalgia for days - lots of throwbacks and references to the original RSE - Upgraded flying system. You now have the option to fly to specific routes/places on top of cities. (i.e. route 121, Safari Zone, etc.) - More mega evolutions if thats your thing. Also primal evolutions - Same shiny rate as X/Y - Wally. That is all. - The pokemon league aethestics were amazingly well done by gamefreak. Shout out to them on that. - Mirage spots replacing original Mirage Island from RSE - PSS is back along with O-Powers wonder trade and all that good stuff - New dexnav feature apart of the pokenav which has that pokeradar feel to it. Its nice that gamefreak added something like this considering there was no item like this in the original RSE. Pokeradar wasnt until Gen IV. - Streetpass integrated into buzznav (another pokenav feature which has a love/hate relationship with most pokemon players currently; not all players have great streetpass reception) - Delta Episode (post-game story) is amazing - Learn little more about pokemon game universe (how some games might be connected to ea other i.e ORAS and X/Y) I dont want to say much more about this without spoiling so Ill leave it at that. - Apparently too much water Point is, if youre a pokemon fan, you should definitely buy one of these games. Even though this is the Alpha Sapphire page, I recommend buying whichever one you feel suits you best. There are guides that will explain to you the differences between omega ruby and alpha sapphire.

10-06-2025First note that you can acquire a few bonuses by completing the demo from the Nintendo e-shop. I recommend doing this so you can receive a mega Glalie or mega Steelix (I got Glalie). There are also additional Mossdeep villagers and heart scale sets, pokeballs, etc... 10 times playing through the demo will clear it. This is actually a remake (for the nine people who didnt know it) for Pokemon Sapphire (and Ruby) for the GBA over 10 years ago. The graphics and sound have been dramatically improved of course. There are also additional improvements and additions that were not present in the original games. Since I started my Pokemon playing with the DS game Pokemon Diamond, I have not played the original. Ive delved into the game a bit and I can address a few pros and cons for fans of the series: + This is a gorgeous game, graphics are on par with X and Y. + Music is catchy and high quality when listening through headphones. + Mega Evoultions! + Better online connectivity and online vs modes, Streetpass is great. + Lots of places to use HMs, so a nice need to balance your party. + Free range flying later in the game. + Decorating your own base! - Lots of water to traverse... - Mostly repetitive for those whove played the originals - Only partially 3D for those that like 3D modes (which I dont use anyway), mainly in battle. IGN gave this a pretty average rating (7.8 - the original was 9.5), but it IS a remake, so you cant expect too many advancements and improvements!

> 3 dayTalk about a blast from the past! I have played Pokemon since the first games came out. Red was my first game and every generation gets better and better. Ruby and Sapphire were my favorites back when they came out, then Emerald came out and that became my favorite, since it had new features and some other things I liked. I had read about these back in July of this year, and it made me get a 3DS on the same day they were released! Although it took me like 3 days of nonstop playing to defeat the E4, they seem a lot better than the originals. I did not play X or Y, or Black/White 2 so I was missing a lot of the new things that changed. The Delta episode in this game was amazing. I have only played Omega Ruby, but will play this soon. So if Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were enjoyable for you, you will like this a lot better!
