> 24 hourMost times I don’t leave a review but this product definitely deserves 5 stars all around. A long put off project to digitize all of those home movies that got thrown in a drawer finally got done. The software is easy to use and a very nice feature is that you can set the capture time so you don’t have to babysit. I contacted tech support the first time because my laptop didn’t have a hard drive. They were quick to respond with a link. Contacted them again when after 36 tapes I was getting an error message. It was my fault because I played with the windows 10 microphone settings. They recognized the error message and replied an hour later with simple instructions to remedy the problem. I like it so much I’m going to investigate the other products they sell.

> 24 hourThis device would not work properly. The sound would not synchronize with the picture. I contacted customer service several times and they tried to fix it. They sent me a different device. That 1 did not work either. They sent me an email with a return label. That email stated please return the product and we will start your refund once its in the mail. The package was delivered a few days ago and they will not answer my emails. Fortunately Amazon took care of the problem as usual.

> 24 hourWorks as advertised to convert your old VHS tapes (you need a VHS player) to digital format. The problem is, the resolution cant be any better than the original used to record the material. By todays standards, HQ VHS sucks. Id still use it to save family recordings but Ive thrown away my James Bond movies stored on tape.

> 24 hourQuality of product and ease of use are each in the 4-5 star range. Desirable feature that is lacking is that when product stops recording after a time period as predetermined by the user, there be an actual indication that the recording has stopped (so that customer can leave the recording alone and come back later without having to keep track by oneself of how much time has elapsed since recording started). More than balancing any minor drawbacks Is the superb customer service, which rates 6 stars for their promptness and helpfulness in responding to any difficulties arising with product usage. Correction and Addenda to my earlier review: No change in my ratings. The software DOES have a built-in timer, to the right of the STOP/RECORD toggle, so it is possible to know how far along you are in the recording. Video input signal parameters can be adjusted independently for Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation and Gamma. For better recording quality, source device should be a 4-head VHS (if available) rather than a 2-head VHS device. As noted by other reviewers., there is a few second delay between the audio and video capture. How important this is depends on what is being transferred. For a lecture, for example, it should not be of significance.

> 24 hourThe VHS2DVD Wizard has worked fine for me. Theres been a few glitches. I tried to use the option of going from VHS straight to DVD and that didnt work, but I wasnt using a newer, faster computer. It went through the whole tape and didnt tell me. I wasted time and a DVD. It took a few attempts to get it to load and work correctly, but I was able to load and get it working the second time. The video quality is slightly less, or it could be from old VHS tapes. On fast movements in the videos, for a split second, I see lines at the location of the movement. It will pull copyrighted materials and make them digital. I am backing up old production movies that will go bad over time on VHS, so that grandkids can watch the animated films.

> 24 hourFirst off, this DOES work with Windows 10 - if you have the right software. I installed the software that ships with the device and even after an hour of trying every combination of selections I could, I was never able to capture anything other than sound. I then tried it with Pinnacle Studio 22, and that software didnt even recognize it as being plugged in. I finally tried my favorite standby - CyberLink PowerDirector (v16) and it worked perfectly the first time I tried it. In the week Ive had it Ive digitized 8 or 9 VHS tapes with very good results - keeping in mind a digitized 30 year old VHS tape is never going to look great by todays video standards. Of course once captured, a file can be imported into any video editing software that you choose.

> 24 hourInstall took three times, eventually I had to load the software down from their site. Worked well after that. Dont look for DVD quality from VHS tapes, especially older ones, its just not there. Its still a good way to save youy VHS tapes.
