SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

I forgot to put a review. This drive is super fast, too fast for my old computers. That is not the reason why I wanted to put this review. I bought this at Sat 2am after coming home from the bar. Wanted a ssd drive. After purchase, it tells me it will be delivered at 8pm the same day sat. I though to myself , no way in hell I am getting this tonight. Surprise, some guy ran my bell at 7:45 and he was delivering my drive. He was in a private car. Blew me away. Amazon have better shipping then UPS, UPSP, and FEX put together. No wonder why their stock is over $1000 a share. Happy holidays.

Windows 10 loads in 12 seconds. This tells it all. Installation allows a complete transfer of your C drive to the SSD and then it is ready to reboot and start anew. The whole C drive uses less than 50% of the SSD. One of my best purchases. Have had it for two years at least, now. Has performed flawlessly.

The Samsung 850 EVO is an excellent performing SSD. Its been running in my desktop for several months with no issues. I was able to do a full hard disk clone of my old drive onto the SSD. Once that was done, the operating system booted along with all my files. The SSD made my desktop run much faster! Its like I got a new machine.

Ive bought and installed two of these drives (different sizes). One is in an older Macbook Pro, the other is in a Linux desktop. Both have been working flawlessly for several months now, and both provide very noticable performance improvements over the old spinning-platter drives in day-to-day usage (faster boot, faster application startup).

Solid SSD. Works fast and have had several over the last two years. Recommend any PC now you purchase to rip out that old spinner and put in a SSD. Works for both Mac and Windows. Doesnt matter what OS you put on it.

This is my 2nd one. The first one was not working properly, but the 2nd one has been great. I was thinking about buying a cheaper one, but am glad I spent a little extra because of the warranty and good quality.

Man, this was on sale for 147.99 USD and Im glad I grabbed it. It works better then I anticipated and is very fast, even on my Desktop. I first thought that this was just for laptops, however this is not true, It is a 2.5 inch in size, so I needed a very inexpensive frame so that it fits in my desktop case. I installed this as my C: drive and just re-installed Windows 7pro, and boy is it fast. It certainly doesnt boot as fast as listed, because that speed is on a laptop, but it still loads up everything in less then a minute or so. This is great for heavy users and Gamers, such as me!

Gave a two year old computer a new life. What used to take a long time to boot now does so in seconds not minutes. No need to buy a new computer. This one is now just fine, thank you!

Ive purchased a few EVO drives for Win 10 devices, and love the simplicity of the data migration feature. This software does NOT work with a Mac, though. I didnt know that. Thus, it took a while to get the job done, though I learned a lot in the process. The Mid-2010 Mac Mini runs like a champ now. If I was buying for a Windows machine, this is the only brand I consider since Ive always had such good results.

Great SSD. Fast transfer, and comes with cloning software (download with single-use license) that worked perfectly. I was able to swap the drives with no hassle (I just needed more space on my computer). This is highly reviewed as the best value (performance vs. cost). No need to spend more unless youre running a very high-end machine, such as a server.
