SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

Using this in MacBook Pro 13 Mid 2012. OS X El Capitan. Made a would of difference in a tired old system that i use heavily as a Software Developer. The instructions were clear on how to mirror the original drive. I did do some googling to ensure I didnt loose anything i the process. Had it installed for about 4 months now with no issues. Good inexpensive way to give a major performance boost to aging machines with HD drives.

I already purchased 4 of these and they are excellent. I put two in notebooks and two in desk tops and the increased speed is incredible. Start up and shut down is only 15 to 30 seconds. Very easy to install using windows 8.1. Highly recommend.

My husband drools over this pretty much non stop. He is downright GIDDY about it! We got it for his birthday, my family and I, to surprise him, and his response to it was similar to the response of a child who was a huge Disney fan would have if they looked out the car window and saw, for fact, they were going to Disney World and had a week long pass. And was getting out of school to do it. And would get to sleep inside the castle. And was getting all the ice cream they could eat. And were getting a puppy. It makes everything load super fast, and its whisper quiet! I never can even hear it, and the speed, I have to repeat about the speed! We got this for his laptop, to replace his hard drive, and speed it up and it has exceeded our expectations over ten times! It starts up nearly instantly. The loading screen goes by so fast you cannot even read what it says. Photoshop loads and is ready to be used in less than 3 seconds. . . It is glorious. All the slow loading problems he had are gone, thanks to this!

The hard drive in my laptop was telling me it was about to fail (a message Id never seen before, but I believed it because my laptop had been acting like it was dying). This was super easy to install and get working. My old hard drive was also very loud, this is super quiet.

I was using a Mechanical Drive for my Core I7, 16 GB Laptop and it was very slow, then came this SSD.. Changed everything, the Bootup is Very Fast, applications are snappy, the Software to Clone the Drive does an amazing Job to replicate the Image onto this SSD

Can hardly believe how small the device is. Plugged it in and loaded the software that came with it and was up and running in no time. Make sure you also purchase a Sata cable to connect drive to Mother Board.

Best upgrade I could have made to my laptop. Boots in seconds and I am in my user in Windows 10 in about 10 seconds after pressing the power button of the laptop. Incredible

Received on time and in good order. I was able to put into cabinet of computer without any problems and immediately starting using unit. It is part of an upgrade to have my C: drive as a solid state start up and so far it has been performing quite well. Very happy with unit.

I used the included disk image software to install this drive in a new Asus X555L laptop, replacing the slow 1TB 5400 rpm HDD. Total time to image my original hard drive and swap was less than 40 minutes. I was extremely happy with how easy Samsung made the swap with the included software and the drive works flawless and is very quick. This will be a must do upgrade on any future computer.

[PROs] Performs as advertised; Typical drive installation and setup; For whats essentially a black rectangle, its pretty sexy. [CONs] Only Con I can think of is the lack of 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, not a huge problem, but it could be for some. [CONCLUSION] Overall this is a great drive. Exactly what you would expect from an SSD from a reputable company. Drive Firmware used: EMT01B6Q Formatted (usable) Capacity (NTFS): 465.76GB
