My old terabyte is showing its wear and tear since it loads Windows in 10 minutes and chrome would freeze up. I had to upgrade to an ssd. I am glad I waited since I got this in perfect price while other stores would sell this triple the amount. When I migrated everything from my terabyte which I still had to delete some files but there not that important. The whole process is very easy and its free in Samsung website for the cloning program. After the whole installation process, I booted the hard drive and made it the main drive from the bios. It booted up Windows in 5 seconds. I was happy as if it was Christmas but be warned. Make sure you have your product key for Windows since in the end I had to buy Windows 8.1 since Microsoft doesnt sell Windows 7 keys anymore but I am getting Windows 10 by the end of the month so it wasnt a waste. So BE WARNED with having Windows on the new drive from the cloning migration it makes windows a counterfeit version without the proper product key. Overall I am pleased with this SSD as an replacement.

WOW! My computer is better than new with a solid state hard drive. Easy enough to install that an extremely tech savvy friend was able to do it. Worth every penny.

Im an enthusiast whos been purchasing Intel SSDs ever since they came out, this time around I went for Samsung because the 730 series from Intel would have run too hot in my MacBook Pro. Ive had this drive for almost a week and Im very pleased with its performance and operation, just dont judge the product by its packaging, its very unexciting but you have to give Samsung credit where its due, the price/value ratio!

Quick! Yes, its expensive though the prices are already coming down. I cant speak of the longevity but everything Ive read so far points to years without a problem. Obviously I made sure there was plenty of room available on this drive before switching and the included software made swapping this drive for the drive installed in the laptop a breeze. I went from a 640 GB to this smaller drive without a hiccup. I tested the read and write speeds and Im very impressed with the results. The laptop now boots to Windows 7 professional in 10 seconds! I was so used to waiting on the old drive I frequently am surprised when I turn back to the laptop to see it waiting for me.

Is working like a charm in my lenovo w420. Bought the w420 used for less than 100 and stuck one of these bad boys in it. This is now the favorite laptop in the house and cost me much less than a newer Dell I have.

Its an SSD, and its Samsung. Fastest read/write Ive ever seen, though Im not around supercomputers often. Its not as cheap as a regular hard drive but it shipped perfect, installed easily, and is lightning fast for anything you might do at home, including gaming.

Fast! Loads of room for games and OS to live together. Use a cheap old fashioned HDD for storing all your music, pics, and videos.

This drive has been replaced by the more durable 860 Evo but so far with over 12K hours, rock solid and diagnostics show its still at 100% health. No reason this drive wont last 10+ years, by then there will be even better SSDs out by Samsung, Crucial, Muskin, etc. Speed are theoretical of the max the SATAIII bus can handle, if you want faster you must go PCIe like the 970.

Upgrading your PC with a Samsung SSD is the most economical way to breathe new life into an aging PC. The 850 EVO reads, writes and multi tasks at incredible speeds, enhancing boot up speed, application loading and multi tasking performance. It"s more than an upgrade, it"s a complete transformation of your PC.
