SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

I have installed several of these drives into MacBook Pro laptops and iMac computers. They perform exactly as expect. I have NOT yet had the opportunity to force enable TRIM support as added in Mac OS 10.10.4 yet so I have no experience on the success / fail rate of these drives in that respect.

Awesome! Getting 549 read / 527 write speeds right out of the box. Used the included Samsung Data Migration software to clone my HDD to this SSD with a Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA cable (not included). Installed into Dell i7 desktop bay with a 2.5 to 3.5 Sabrent bracket (not included). Connected existing power cable and SATA III cable (not included) to SSD. Samsung Magician software has options to configure the SSD and measure performance.

Very fast indeed. Migrated my OS over to this bad boy using the migration tool that comes with the drive. Windows Boots in SECONDS - Games load much more rapidly! Would Definitely buy again.

Great SSD for my Macbook Pro mid 2012. Transfer of large files is greatly faster while normal usage wasnt that obvious improvement. Installation is easy following step by step tutorial on youtube. Its a lot lighter than the original HDD on the pc. Hopefully it lasts as long.

Unless you are using alot of high depth multitasking programs (Greater than 32 read/write handlers with excessive I/O), this is by far, the best non-NVME SATA3 drive currently out. I bought this because the price wasnt bad, and it simulates SLC so well that the Read/Write speeds are actually faster than the 850 Pro version. Installation was seamless, I used the drive copy program to duplicate my Lenovo Y50 drive, and now it works like a charm!

This is my 4th SSD so I have quite a bit of experience in installation and cloning. This one is as easy as can be. The cloning software provided is extremely easy to use.

This will make a difference. I basically resurrect an old iMac (2007), now it is 3+ times faster. I believe this is a good quality / price solid drive. The only issue I noticed after this change is that the computer have freezed a couple of times, but sincerely I cant blame the drive.

Amazing speed, takes up little to no space in pc, no sound, and is very easy to install. If you buy this and want to transfer all files from your hard drive to ssd you can go to the samsung website and download samsung magician which clones all files in less than an hour. Wish I knew this earlier so i didnt waste as much time.

Used as replacement for main hard drive in mid-2011 mac-mini. Combined with an upgrade to 16G of memory, the mini is now the fastest computer in the house. Highly recommend!
